I also look for a bitcoin exchange which offers bitcoin trading like forex trading. Like, leverage and short or long facilities. Most of the exchanges I use just exchange what we have, no actual trading.

real options don't exist yet, volatility is too high, market makers won't bite.

OKCoin has by far the highest futures liquidity, but leverage is either 10x or 20x.

If you want to kick it up a knotch, 796 Exchange offers 50x.

Binary options, if they're your thing, can be used too at 796 and i think some other sites.. While you can trade on margin at BitFinex and they have recently gotten some employees from OKCoin so they might be developing futures or options as well.

I want to add that okcoin has a feature to double the 20 x leverage with a verified owner or so. I didnt investigate this yet.

So far i used 796.com. Its very hard. Its not the fee there, which can eat profits away fast on other exchanges like bitfinex. Its the orderbook spread that makes problems for me.

Thats why i check out other exchanges now.

If its about liquidity then you might check out btc.sx because they trade on the big exchanges orderbooks. I dont know how they make sure that they make a profit though. And i didnt test it.

796 exchange is Pioneer Cryptocoin Derivatives Exchange.
Bitcoin & Litecoin Futures & Up/Down Options Exchange since June 2013. Weekly, Quarterly & Daily Futures Contracts and Options of Various Timeframes Settle on BraveNewCoin Global Price Index.

Be careful with them because they dont actually do support. They do like they do but you wont get an answer. I cant believe how stupid it is letting such a big income business be like that.

They lost the coins but they have a system included that prevents this in the future. They collect hundreds of btc in a certain timeframe to put it into an insurance fond against this. But i dont know how trustworthy they are.

I had the same question, though for leveraged trading in general. I created a list with all infos i found then:

Thank you for that comprehensive list! I will try and throw a few bits in your tip jar soon.  Cheesy

Thanks in advance! Smiley

And if i can give you a tip as someone who learned it the hard way... start small. There is NO time running away. Better dont trade than in a hurry. And dont trade on emotions. Thats a sure way to lose your funds.

If you want to prove your trading skills then do it with small money and learn from that.

I don't raccomend to trade on 796.com , have you heard about their loss of 1'000 bitcoins ? This is the thread with a lot of information :

- https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/796-lost-1000-bitcoin-938765  And remember :

When the f*ck will people learn, and stop keeping large amounts of money at exchanges. Especially shitty, small, non-transparent, obscure, unproven, or lacking-solid-reputation ones.

The only two exchanges I would currently trust my money with, are Kraken and Bitstamp. And then still, why the hell would I be keeping my money there if it's much safer in my own wallet.

Get this, people: EXCHANGES ARE NOT BANKS OR SAVING ACCOUNTS!

They are not future/option exchanges. You can only normal margin and leverage trade there. Please don't misguide people.

I think BitMEX (https://www.bitmex.com) and https://orderbook.net (old name icBit) is one of the most popular future trading sites. Personally I don't use future trading because it has so much risk involvement. Bitcoin price is very volatile, you don't even know how much will 1 Bitcoin worth next day. If you like risky investments go ahead, but it's just a warning from me. Happy trading.

What sites offer trading of bitcoin futures (futures where the underlying is related to bitcoin, settled in bitcoin), for instance like OKcoin? and what ones offer trading of bitcoin options?.

Thanks.
