Look at the modlog, over 1300 posts have been deleted over the past week or two.

Soime of the mods are being pretty overzealous, probably because they get paid to delete posts.

I don't think that's true. I remember theymos stating somewhere that they don't count towards your mod 'actions' (though handling the report of them likely will). I doubt it's down to a mod being 'over zealous' but you'd be surprised how many off topic spam, begging posts, newbs spamming their faucet refs and multiple bumps there is etc and all get reported. I reckon a good chunk of those deleted posts are for stuff like undeleted bumps. I've handled a large amount of them this month. As for this post that was deleted if someone reported it as unsubstantial I can totally see why they would remove it, but not all mods will check the rest of the replies for similar posts especially if they're not reported so I don't think a mod did anything wrong here though I can see why you're annoyed.

Yay, justice.   Cheesy   On most forums an administrator would never admit a comment was somewhat wrongfully removed.  It is very nice to see a board that can say a small mistake was made.  It is rare in today's world.

Undeleted. In some other topics, that post might've been considered off-topic, but in context it'd be overly strict to delete all posts like that.

It was a thread in SWC Poker 2.0's announcement thread.

The quote was

"ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah!!!!!!

Can't wait!"

which is exactly the same as:

#3 post :
YAY! Can't wait for it .

#5 post:
Can't wait for the new site to be launched. Good luck

#12 post:

very good news - good luck

and many others with a similar theme.  Pretty much anything that wasn't a question about the software was exactly along the same lines.

You can dispute it by creating a thread in meta. What thread did you post in and what exactly did you post?

I received a PM stating "A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator. Posts are most frequently deleted because they are off-topic, though they can also be deleted for other reasons. In the future, please avoid posting things that need to be deleted." coming many days after I had posted it.

My post (which was the first right after a big announcement) was not off-topic and resembled several posts (still remaining) that were of the very same context.

My post, being the first one immediately after the announcement has possibly substantial monetary value as it'll lead to much exposure with my affiliate programs that is associated.

I'd also like to point out that I currently am not enrolled in a signature campaign or have any type of signature at this time which would leave any motive to spam or pad my post count as there is no reason to.

There was no name associated with it and I looked at a few forums and their stickies and could not find a place.  I would like to dispute this deleted post or at the very least be informed as to why it was deleted.
