They are create it, and mostly of altcoins are shitcoin the developer is not care about the coins who has be maded. They are just care about the profit from the coins. That is why every weeks, month, always there are new coins and that is why we must becareful when trade altcoins.

Almost every month I can read that there is a new coin for ICO or will be launch after a few days or weeks. I'am just wondering where do they get those new coins? Do they mine it or do they just create it because they wanted it? How much do you think the initial money they need to fund a new coin? any idea?

On the marketplace of bitcoin section you can see a thread where a developer is providing his service to create a coins with all of the necessities at only 0.35 BTC, you can go there if you want to create one and can learn more from him.

thank you for the instruction mate but i'm not interested in making new coins. i'm just curious where does those new coins are coming from. i forgot to mention that there is a new coin that might be a huge success someday. it is Xaurum wherein it is a gold based cryptocurrency. i actually joined their campaign.

They create it. For normal, mine-able coins it's not about the budget but the skills of the developer(s) involved in it which are not easy to come by unless you got the money to hire some. All you need other than that is a decent PC.
actually, it's not that hard(at least not these scams).
most of them are just copy of another coin with the intention to just attract investors and run with their money.

And most of those coins are likely to fail because they have nothing new to offer. To create a crypto with unique features that have a chance to succeed you'll need some good brains and clear goals.

No one had the talk with you about the birds & the whales ?

Well son.. they come from the Crypto-Stork !

Every day he flies around the world leaving ICO tokens at peoples doors in little block-chain baskets.

Next Time i will be giving lessons on growing hair in funny places..
and a favorite of mine everyone poops supports shitcoins for profit.

And there is closer to 6,000 coins not 800.  Roll Eyes
Such as CYB AKA: Crypto-Bits i mined way back in 2013 i still have coins for..
It never did go on any exchange and it never did have an ANN topic here.
I have other dead / delisted coins too.

Launching a coin is a small part of the work. It dies a quick death when there is no team of developers backing it, fixing bugs, innovating.
There are possibly 5 - 7 coins that have excellent dev teams and 10 - 15 coins with passable developers.

The other 800 coins are DOA, no devs, no plan, no community, bitcoin clones.

The majority of alt coins are actually not developed. They are pulled from someone's ass.

they are many different types of altcoin, which one do you have in mind?

some of them are being mined some are only a fixed amount issued , some of them are 90% premined and the rest is issued between miners slowly, some are scam from the start and many other things.

you either have to be specific about a particular coin or you can check the announcement board to see how each of the coins are.

well, nothing specifically. im just curious from where does those new coins are coming from because almost every month i can see a new coin on some trading site that are already listed and sometimes i can see that there will be an Initial Coin Offering for a new coin.

um, nope. it's all about getting as much bitcoin as possible out of the gullible before the supply of gullible people stops. that's the killer app of any alt.

No every altcoin better but it is like evolution. New designes, new implementations on new languages.
I guess no one wanna to say: here is the bitcoin and it is the last stage of development of all crypto, so we can stop forever.

There are ready made coins available if you have the budget there are a lot of service on creating a new coin and you can also hire developers of coin,so creating one is not a problem anymore if you are a newbie and do not know how all these things work you are indeed in trouble from getting scam..
