And yet I was the only person to even get audio much less video of even half the talks at the recent Vegas event.

This is bitcoin. The people involved at this stage are generally quite tech savvy by nature.

Put a video camera on a tripod, point it in the general area of the speaker, and hit record.

Later, upload the video online and publish the link on this forum.

We pre-sold tickets to pay for the crew and managed to break even with a rinky-dink production and about 160 people purchasing the passes. We then released the videos for free on December 1st

Maybe I would, no one's ever asked. That being said, I'm not proposing a feature film, just a static broadcast (what on earth does this 'crew' you speak of do?). I get the impression you've not actually seen the standard of live streaming that is achieved these days by a few kids and a wifi-GoPro.

Sounds like it's incredibly easy. Where do you live Zooey? I vote you film and distribute the next event in your region since you can get it done for free.

The good news is that is an incorrect assessment, literally MediaBistro just does not care about filming their events and doing such a thing in Las Vegas means hiring a union crew and incurring quite a bit of cost. We were going to be providing that service to them until we learned about the union requirement.
