It's pretty shameful that he hasn't yet been held at all accountable for all the shady actions of his exchange. I'm sure he is going to stay as far away from the United States as possible..

Someone on reddit posted that he saw Karpeles walk out from a brothel in Japan some time ago, so it seems he's in Japan having a good time and enjoying himself. Just what one would expect from him.
Got a source on this? Would be fascinating to see if there was any evidence.

Is he allowed to leave Japan at all? I believe he is under investigation, isn't he? He has a family, not easy to "disappear" off the grid. Gox is old news, may be he is not news worthy anymore.
he has no need to be disappeared, what can you do to him beucase of his luxury life or what he has done (willy,stolen client's money,lost client's coins etc) anyway?

Yeah, Gox was all the news for such a long time, and has seemed to be crickets lately. I am kind of wondering the same thing... 
It's all in a state of not moving anywhere. The Gox coins are supposed to be returned, but nobody has given any info on when's that happening.
Does anyone have any news on him, Gox and the lost bitcoins?
