I want to start mining, but i am wondering what kind of rig I should set up!

I have about €1000 to invest in my first rig so what should i do? I would like to buy my own hardware but how can i make sure i get enough GH/s?
Any tips are welcome!

Don't begin, buy BTC now as sell higher...

I'm thinking just like the OP, I also want a gpu to mine with the current price being so high I feel it's an decent option If I can find a good/cheap rig.  I guess it would be a gamble and since I don't want to buy in at the current price I'm forced to sit it out and watch.

I guess we could always buy in some small amounts and see what the price does but over the next few months.

Dont start mining until you know exactly what you are doing, notice most people tell you not to? Smiley

What about GPU, seems like the only way to make money now...

You can always try pre-order the 1 TH/s ASIC but keep in mine they might delay the shipment as usual...

Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme.  It doesn't sound like you think that.

So if your not expecting a quick ROI and profit then just buy something that is actually shipping and works and start mining and have some fun.  Bitcoin, I think, will return a nice profit over time.

Don't do anything with your money, BTC is too costly now and you won't ROI on mining equipment.

You might wanna consider buying BTC, although its already quite pricey now so you might wanna wait awhile for it to crash a little.

But now the price of BTC already hit $420, I wonder is it good to still invest in BTC or mining equipment...

Invest in BTC now. The difficulty is too high for a budget like that. I started mining when the difficultly was well below 10million it's now 510million. Made a few coins and have now sold my hardware. The other reason is it's like looking after a baby, ie if you suffer an electrical outage or the mining pool has a DDos which stops your hash rates which then requires a manual restart of your systems. The ASICS are more reliable obviously but it's a big undertaking and a lot of time. Buy bitcoin from the markets or a trusted dealer, you won't regret it.

10 gh blades could be decent.

I saw 10 for 7 btc. 0.07 per gigahash is a good price.

You can't do anything with 1000€.
Maybe with 10000€ but nothing with 1000€.
You can buy some Gh ant cex.io but it's not worth it.
By some bitcoins and wait for the value to go up.
