If you want to buy cryptocurrencies for Fiat at an exchange. There are many. I think that Google will answer all questions and give the necessary links.

I use coinbase, uphold and local bitcoins.

Coinbase is the easiest. However, last time I used it I tried to buy when prices were really cheap, but after I entered my payment details it said the transaction would go through in 3 days for security purposes. By the time my transaction completed 3 days later prices had gone up.

I'm really hoping there will be some better alternatives soon (c'mon Ethos!)

There are many exchangers, through which you can buy crypto-currencies for Fiat funds. I used the site-monitoring www_bestchange_ru for choosing the one that suits me.

Coinbace is the best way to buy altcoins for Fiat, especially in Europe. Now a lot of exchanges for Fiat to buy oldoini, well coinbace really tested me repeatedly.

I myself rarely buy altcoin, because when I have a little altcoin I immediately sell it if altcoin there is a market, and I also do not care about the cheap or expensive.

Hey man,

I just wrote an article discussing exactly how to do this.

The difficulty in purchasing cryptocurrencies is one of the main reasons why it's not being adopted as quickly as it should.

Check out my article to see how to go about getting your hands on altcoins with fiat.

Good luck!

1: Buy btc on coinbase, transfer free (I think) to gdax, exchange for alts. This would be my preferred route but I can't get them to verify my old paper drivers license. Sad

2: Buy ether, ltc or bch on coinbase, bitpanda or bitonic. Transfer to an exchange like bittrex or bitfinex for a fee much lower then a bitcoin transfer fee and exchange for other alts.

3: Buy a greater selection of alts directly on litebit, the exchange rate is worse but you save on time and transfer fees (buy ltc, btc etc on cheaper sites).

Coinbase is unique with its ease of purchasing coins but the fees are VERY predatory! I am suprised with the level of incompetence in European Brokers- Not even one similar to Coinbase...Obviously, the market is in Wild Wild West mode but I expect eventually there will be more brokers and as a result the fees should drop...At that point, I think a lot of people will take a GIANT shit on Coinbase!

If you would chose between Coinbase, Bitfinex and Bitstamp, which one would you prefer? Which one makes it then easier to withdraw FIAT money to your bank when you decide to sell your cryptos?

Hello all,

Can anyone please list some sites that you can buy altcoins with FIAT money? Preferably in Europe, except cex.io which has 100% scam reviews the past few weeks!
Thanks

In Europe you have Coinbase and no one mentioned www.Bittylicious.com, I use them for few years now no single problem. Buy Ethereum takes literally 3 minutes or less. Bitcoin a little bit longer (up to 2 hours to receive your coins) Website is simple, once you complete verification you are good to go. If you open new account you still will be able buy some ETH but amount will be very limited. What I do normally is I buy Ethereum and send directly to wallet address from EtherDelta where I buy ERC20 Tokens. I've seen some exchanges stop withdrawn your funds before verification is completed and this may take some time (days maybe 1 week) that why I prefer to use ED.

I prefer coinbase and birfinex. But on coinbase, there is only 3 crypto pairs with dollar, if I'm not wrong. On Bitfinex you can trade on like 15 or more currencies in US dollar, and you can deposit dollars there too, but I don't know a lot about that, because didn't pass verification there yet.

You should check cex.io exchange as well. You can even but coins there by using your credit card. But prices are a little bit higher there. As they wrote coinbase is one of the best website. But you should check cex.io if you wanna buy with fiat but extra things is to buy with credit card.

I recently bought altcoins at https://litebit.eu, you can probably get your coins somewhere else for a better price. But the transaction itself went pretty smooth.

Coinbase is the only popular one, they plan to add many altcoins and tokens in coming months at the moment they deal in only btc, eth and ltc.

Localbitcoins or coinbase. Purchase BTC trade for alt coin you prefer on the proper exchange. Use Coinmarketcap.com to find out which exchanges the alt coin is sold on.

Go with coinbase. You can buy ETH and Litecoin. If you want several alt coins, join with poloniex and bittrex.

Poloniex has withdrawal problems, this is a common problem. I don't use it. Bittrex is also problematic. I would stay in coinbase, they're more like a corporation and professional compared to others.

How to buy Altcoins with Fiat

1) Buy BTC from Coinbase. (Note: Buy when BTC is relatively cheap. 16000-16500USD at present)

2) Transfer BTC to a crypto exchange such as kucoin (https://www.kucoin.com/#/?r=E3cEC-)

3) Wait for BTC to raise in value (above 17000USD). You can get more bang for your buck in this way.

4) Buy Alt coins at kucoin

5) Transfer your coins to your own wallet

I am using this method to accumulate NEO, RPX, OMG at kucoin now.

I am suggesting kucoin because the verification is fast and I do not need to wait before buying altcoins. In this market, speed is everything.

At the same time, join kucoin (https://www.kucoin.com/#/?r=E3cEC-) and then give your referral link to your friends so that you can earn a bit of altcoins when they also purchase from kucoin.  Grin

You can use bitstamp to purchase Litecoin, ethereum, ripple and bitcoin cash. It's a European exchange.

Any ICO you recomend? (you can PM me if you don't want to post in public.) Also, I have opened accounts with all major exchanges the last month, but the verification process is taking forever... So much action now and I can only buy 2 altcoins only from Coinbase.

Thanks for your input!

You're welcome. Well, try investing in the ICO in the signature I'm wearing. I saw in their telegram group that it went trending/popular in twitter online.

Coinbase is an exchange that allows you to make payments with fiat. There's that and Bitfinex if you want to trade the top Altcoins.

I agree coinbase have three coins available to purchase. But if you want several choices of alt coins, try signing up in big exchanging sites like poloniex and bittrex. You could also invest in ICOs.

Better to go with coinbase which is the most reliable and secure wallet and using coinbase you can buy altcoins I mean ethreum and Litecoin with Fiat especially in European countries and please do not ever go for cheap wallets who attract people with lesser transaction fees and other so called marketing tactics only to scan people and there were few wallets who ran signature campaigns in this forum and even laid the users for 2 months only to disappear with people's fund stored in their wallet so please go for a reputed and established exchange or wallet like coinbase.
