Unfortunately, there probably isn't enough demand for this to happen.

Yes, right now, probably not, because the tech is still in its infancy stages and it's a bit of a nerdy niche. But it's growing all in all and I could see it play a bigger role in the future. The Altcoin boards is of course a very messy section and I rarely put my foot in there, however there are some interesting projects and services, where you are actually able to use your crypto and not just watch them sitting in your wallet and waiting for moon magic to happen. Gaming is one of those use-cases, but it's difficult to monitor things when these boards are all-in-one boards. But I also understand that Altcoins are not top priority inside this forum for obvious reasons.

as far as I know and also according to Magaddinohf, the game is free to play and doesn't require you to invest BTC in order to play the game.

I admit to not having downloaded and played the game, but I can only imagine that this is valid for just the beta to attract players. In the full game, you would have to at least pay for transaction fees. And then as you can see on the homepage, you can buy certain packages etc. So, yes, maybe you can play basically for free (i.e. only paying transaction fees), but you won't get anywhere with it, because you will always come up short against players that do actually invest a bit of money. In a play-to-earn game, it is not possible or would make no sense to be able to earn money without investing anything upfront. Where would that money come from, when everyone can play for free but earn money ? The profit of one user is the loss of another user. Unless it's a charity game of a wealthy person Wink

As the title says, I am wondering where would be the correct place in this forum to open a thread about a (new) blockchain game ?

I recently saw UNIQUE GAME 🔥 Satoshi Battles 🔥 QUESTS - RPG - LEVELING - EVENTS 🔥 MMORPG being posted in Bitcoin Forum > Economy > Marketplace > Gambling. It's a play-to-earn game, where you have to invest some BTC first to play and it's a skill game so I think Gambling section fits - though you wouldn't refer to it as gambling from my understanding. It's gaming, but where is the line and there is no dedicated blockchain gaming section afaik.

What if it's a blockchain game on an "Altcoin-Platform" with maybe another non-BTC in-game cryptocurrency on top, but play-to-earn, skill/strategic game, fully decentralized ? Is the Gambling section only restricted to Bitcoin "things". There are Tron-based gambling projects f.e. too, but I am not sure tbh Huh

You can play for free yes and you can find some great equipments and small amounts of satoshis while killing monsters and progressing your character.
There are no specific pc requirements due to the fact that this game is very low spec and basically any windows device would be fine, even older business laptops.

Thank you both for your replies. Marketplace Altcoins seems indeed the most fitting board, until there is a little seperate blockchain gaming (child) board, which I would like very much. Just like gambling with all the crypto books/casinos, the blockchain and blockchain-based gaming realm will also be helpful for BTC/crypto in general imo.
Unfortunately, there probably isn't enough demand for this to happen. Although, the altcoin marketplace gets a fair amount of traffic, and legitimately good projects are really needed within that space in my opinion. A gambling section within the altcoin section would likely to be a more realistic goal as opposed to a Blockchain gambling section as its a little more broader.

If there are risks involving btc, it would be investor-based Game I think.

Well there are risks involved in Gambling too, but it's probably easy to tell gambling from an investor based game.

Play-to-earn games for sure involve risk. Not everyone can win or the in-game economy wouldn't work. But if you put in the hours, the effort and go the extra mile, you are likely to make a profit, just like with Poker/Sportsbetting.

A game where you can earn money within in it may be a separate thing all together, but for now it probably belongs in Gambling.

If they take bitcoin then it probably goes in Bitcoin Gambling. If it just accepts alt coins then it will go in the Alt Coin Marketplace.
