I found this article and have a list of stores that accept Bitcoin in New York City.

Yelp also has the "accept cryptocurrency" filter on "Features", it could bring different sets or more results.

@OP. If you wanna be as accurate as possible on whether a certain place is still accepting bitcoin, asking them or doing research (both can be done remotely) before your visit is the best way.

Ask @DaveF, because if memory serves me he could be from NY and I remember reading about his experience not so long ago. Although it is possible that the man was just visiting and I misunderstood something.

I chose to ask here because some places on the coinmap seemed quite outdated.

My idea is to have some more accurate indications.
I found this article and have a list of stores that accept Bitcoin in New York City.

Myself too came across this list which is the recently updated one. Based on the data, it has got good number of fooding place available with bitcoin acceptance.

Myself checked for the list of bar that accept bitcoin. This landed me on a page that briefed about New York City bar EVR in which they've been accepting bitcoin since 2013. The article was dated back in 2013. I'm not sure whether the bar is in use at present, but the bar is very early adopter of bitcoin.

I also heard that Starbucks also accepting Bitcoin in NYC and I think you can go there and ask them about Bitcoin acceptance as payment.
Bitcoin is a well know cryptocurrency that can alternate fiat currency as a mode of payment and for sure you will hardly find stores that accept Bitcoin in NYC.

In addition to the above maps, there are a few more that might come in handy:
Note: I don't know how accurate they are.

You can use CoinMap for that. Here are the available services in New York[1]. Some services might have gift cards but not support bitcoin directly, so you can use Bitrefill[2]

That’s just really cool. I did not know about the coin map and how they track the attractions where we can pay from crypto wallets. Though this topic is discussed already I never found any thread earlier. It’s good they asked the question and I read about it. This is much much helpful as we can directly pay to our hosts without converting, withdrawing to the banks. I do see many places where bitcoin is accepted.  Don’t like the filter feature of the site though as it’s not that sophisticated. As per the third comment I am not sure if they keep updating it or not? This site can be more cooler for better connectivity.

This has been already discussed and link https://map.bitcoin.com/ appeared many times on this forum. Just type New York in a bar and zoom out. You will see what is around you.

But I suggest you to make a little google search after you have selected what you want. Because sometimes people add places on the map just to get extra attention, and dont accept crypto at all.

thanks for the indication of the site, this 'bitcoin.com' service I didn't know about.
