I Stored them on toast wallet on iPhone. You will have the phrase words and the backup. Better than desktop wallets

Ledger Nano S would be the best and safest option (it would cost around 70$)

For long term I think the best is Nano Ledger S
Keep in mind, that you will freeze 20 XRP on any new wallet (for activation), doesn't matter is it cold storage or exchange wallet.

Do you know if the will lower the minimum value for the wallet? With the current price, you pay nearly 50$ for every wallet.

Like always. Don't use online wallets or exchanges.

For Ripple you can use this wallet https://rippex.net/carteira-ripple.php#/, encrypt it with a long and complex password. Backup your wallet file and private keys, test your backup and then send your coins to your address.

I think in this guide you find all the information you need
