Isn't this the exact opposite of what cryptocurrencies stand for? We praise the crypto environment for being decentralized, yet you propose to centralize our efforts to fight the most centralized opponents of all time, i.e. established financial institutions?

Our power comes from the fact that we don't have to act as one. If we continue with what we're doing currently, that should be enough. The disruptive nature of crypto will win out eventually.

Take note, I said this " Support whatever coin you want, but stop fighting each other. " ...which means, you can still support other Alt coins, but just stop all the in-fighting that are dividing the ultimate goal. When people look from the outside, they see a community at War, and who wants to get into the middle of that?

They will simply turn around and walk away. ^grrrrrrr^

Totally agree with you. I think we should stand together but we should be clear who are enemies at this very moment. Its not other cryptos or altcoins but bankers itself.

Remember the so called, Flippening or Rippening? That's us fighting one another. But who win at the long run? No one, ETH, and Ripple suffered during that clash.

So if we are going to stand together, our common enemies are the bankers, who don't want us to enjoy our freedom without them in the middle of everything. Just my .2 BTC

I think one simple way of improving the face of bitcoin would be to group together and pay for advertisement in prominent places, such Time Square (Manhattan), Central Paris, Central London, and the capital cities of many countries. These advertisements would contact important, easy to understand information about why bitcoin will succeed, and why they should ignore the media. It will also include a basic link explaining the core concepts of bitcoin, the lightning network or another solution, and how together we can step out from under the curtain.

Pretty sure that billboard advertising in these places runs at least $100,000 per week, so it would definitely take a large collaborative effort to get it going, but I am sure it would massively improve the prospects of bitcoin.

How do you propose that would be funded? Through a "Bitcoin Foundation"? We saw that the last experience was a disaster - when more money was spent on marketing and lobbying than the protocol development. Bitcoin will definitely pick up through word of mouth (you can ignore the impact of price related news in traditional media). Adoption will increase slowly, but surely.

Well "if everyone stood together" we would not had allowed the miner to crash the price by ramping fees
up to a peek of $55 per transaction or the bankers to take over using the Lightning Network with its banker
hubs.

Yes i know lets blame China, Japan and anyone else like sheep for the price going down and just
follow the leader and ignore the two real reasons

Just imagine for one moment a Crypto currency world where people pulled resources together to fight the real battle. Not the battle against each other, but a battle against the enemies of financial freedom.

Open your eyes to see that Lightning Network is a system of banks being ran by the miners because the development
team sold us out.

This is a typical response from the people that are trying to destroy our efforts.

Ignore the shills and the people who are making the noise. We will win the War for financial freedom, even if we have to lose some battles on our way there.

When the Bitcoin network is spammed by it's competitors to create the illusion that it is failing, then we stand up and fight them. When they still say the Bitcoin fees is $50, when it is in actual fact $1, then we point that out.

When they attack the Lightning Network, because they fear it, then we tell that to the world.

When they ignore SegWit and concentrate on loopholes in the Legacy systems, we educate people.

Do not back down, we will see a victory!

Yes, I agree Alt coins have a place in the Crypto currency ecosystem. There must be some competition and other flavors of Bitcoin to make things interresting.

The problem is, some people are fighting the wrong battles at the moment. A lot of that are fuelled by greed.

We are so divided now, that it is easy for our competition to dilute our efforts to fight them.

Let's not forget why most of us is fighting these battles. We want financial freedom from a system that excludes and exploits poor people and corrupt banking practices that are rewarded with Bailouts, when they fail.

Support whatever coin you want, but stop fighting each other. When any coin goes down or gets infiltrated, like Ripple, everyone in the Crypto currency gets burned. Focus less on the price and more on the protection of our financial freedom.
