You cannot kill love
Reevaluate god as the universe and tell me god doesn't exist.

God is a dot on the wall.

Until I learn to paint, it will always be there.

But eventually, intelligent people learn to paint, and it disappears.

There's a lot of really pretentious shit in this thread, but this post takes the cake

Are not all statements regarding god pretentious?

You cannot kill love
God is all, everything, the totality of existence.

In the highest form, god is a spaceless point of conscious energy.  A singular point of infinite love and light, beholding a feeling of more love than the happiest moment on your life times 1000.

When one experiences complete egodeath, their consciousness inputs all frequencies of the universe at once.  Just as all waves of light combined make white light, all dimensions of the universe together form an infinitely bright white light of consciousness, love.

It is the most beautiful experience the universe has to offer.

God in my mind is nihil; a cold, infinite pitch-black nothingness, much like my soul  Grin.

When I order coffee the girl at the counter says "Would you like it with cream and sugar?" I say, no just black like my soul... She giggles

God is a spirit. God is spiritually seen. As a spirit, there is no physical look to God. Only the people who acknowledge him are able to see him spiritually. No way to describe the look.

I spoke to an actively christian person yesterday (yep, they are rare nowadays in Sweden), and she explained God not as some dude on a cloud, but rather as some kind of invisible power that lives within all of us and can give us strength or help us.
So according to her, "God" doesn't look like anything.

She's not a Christian, she's a Jedi. Cheesy

There are some kind of laws of nature that enable a mechanism that generates universes. Smiley

Thank you for an interesting response. Smiley

Could you elaborate?

Ie there is no god  Cheesy. I don't believe in god but I always picture 'him' just like he is depicted as a bearded and angry old man.

Whether or not you believe in G-d, what mental picture do you get when you think of the concept? I'll go first...

I see the Big Bang.

And you?
