There are numerous phony apps that attempt to gather information from their unsuspecting users. These phishing apps start in the 'feeding' phase until they gather a large enough user base to where they wont need to redirect anyone to the legitimate site/app. What users can do if they suspect a phony app is create an inquiry with the google store support team and even post about it social media to alert others--basically anything that will bring attention to the matter. If you google past phishing cases on the play store you'll see they are pretty quick about removing questionable apps if there is enough evidence to do so.

The more popularity, the greater the demand, because there is nothing strange in phishing, here the most important thing is to be neat and not to download everything to the phone

This is a very useful post, because phishing sites are like parasites to every account holders whether iy would be bitcoin or bank accounts or any accounts involve. I suggest not to enter suspicious urls and see to it that your url has a green lock and https:// to it before accessing any accounts to be safe.

It should not be that easy in getting a bonus without registering, and you just be careful in taking the application on google playstore, and you should leave the application if not very useful.

Just scan the app by using the website : https://virustotal.com
That should tell you whether or not that application is a phising one or not.

I've found a gift wallet app that offers bonuses, project wallets that are in the Google Play Store app.

can still log in when entering a username without registering,

does this include phishing to the Android app?

and how to solve it?

Phishing app is possible but in terms of Android, I have seen few cases about it since I became an Android enthusiasts years ago.

Mind giving us the name of the Android application you are talking about so we can get some insights of it?

I'm with parobber on this one. It can't really be called fishing, if they are not trying to "mimic" another well known product of company. It could be a fishy app though, and people should be careful when using them. I do believe that google keeps checking their apps, and not everyone can upload one to their platform, so at least it shouldn't be running any malicious script, but I usually don't try out mining apps or any crypto related apps.

I think that we need to be very careful this time of crypto rising popularity. Becouse the craziest thing is that thieves can not steal money instantly, byt wait until you will have mory money on your wallet.

I myself wouldn't call it phishing purely because they're not trying to replicate some other established site and get your details for that site exactly. But using a shady app to gather common usernames and passwords of people interested in a certain multitude of things most probably happens.

I think that's true. apps you find include common tricks used by phishers. this can be proved.

Kaspersky Lab's company found several Android apps in the Google Play Store app store that were infiltrated by Bitcoin miners and other cryptocurrency currencies.

applications under the guise of mining this crypto currency. Kaspersky says all applications are dangerous.

we recommend that users install such an application must install a security solution that can detect crypto currency miners.
