I think Bitcoin will survive and will be able to maintain its position as the king of cryptocurrency. Therefore this makes no sense. the reason Bitcoin still adheres to the market control of Altcoin, it will take hard work for Altcoin to defeat Bitcoin.
Ethereum is the first altcoins that has potential to compete and replace bitcoins as the leader of cryptocurrency. The volume of Ether and its popularity is a reason that it can replace bitcoins.

Bitcoin has the most devs and the biggest community, not to mention all the press and media coverage on its highs and lows. Right now there isn't any coin even close to this, even altcoins that have gotten big. Some of the big altcoins just seem like a testbed to try new Bitcoin things before we do it on Bitcoin.

These two are better coins XVG is more better than XRP as it has given a real life use to its users and after getting a place in bigger companies it is also looking for the partnership with banks via tokenpay and are getting their debit cards which is signed and will come sooner. In the coming future it will rise much higher and will be the second bitcoin or ethereum but we cannot say that it will replace bitcoin because bitcoin is much higher than them and the market and real life use of bitcoin is much wide than any other coin.

I think that no Altcoins can replace bitcoin. Bitcoin is the most famous crypto currency in the world. Besides, there are companies like RSK. With the help of the company RSK on bitcoin will appear smart contracts. 
Maybe Ethereum. Not sure though but when it comes to stability and fame it is next to Bitcoin and it is also widely used since most of ICO tokens are based on ethereum. Though bitcoin stil is the king of coins and if there will be next that is ethereum i think.
I think when we talk about "replacing Bitcoin" it depends in what sense? If we are talking store of value I don't think this will happen for a long-time for any other coin. There is simply just so much money in Bitcoin. It may be Ethereum as well but I personally Ethereum is more flawed and much less secure than Bitcoin. Many predicted a year ago that ETH would overtake BTC in market cap but it never came that close and is a far cry from it today. In the long-term I predict it is whichever coin is well adopted and works the best for the users and business but it is too soon and too hard to call in my opinion.

Currently, I don't think any coin can actually replace bitcoin. It will actually take ages for other coins to replace bitcoin. Most people know more about bitcoin than any other coin. But all i know is that Ripple that is XRP won't be taking over bitcoin coin anytime soon. XRP is more like a centralized form of coin which actually defies the main goal of bitcoin

Anonymous coins become crap thing soon as per the regulators will be issued an regulation to not trade anonymous altcoin in the centralized exchange site. At least you should give a respect because XRP is contributing a lot to the bankers.

Even if they don’t replace BTC they will do well. These coins are TAU, ICX, NEO and XRP. I would suggest to keep this in your portfolio for long term.

Most people take this topic and until now I don't see any coin can replaced bitcoin. All coins follow bitcoin because they came from bitcoin and everything happen with bitcoin will give impact into another coins.
