I would avoid most of them and would likely to focus on the coins that are on the trend even if they're still old coins. Like at the top coins, Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB.
That is my response too, i will avoid all the coins mentioned by the OP and i would avoid BNB as well. CZ is a known manipulator and now things are in his play ground because ETH messed up big time and the developers are scrambling to scale the product and the developers are sick of the large transaction charges and so people are shifting to BSC but we have to wait and see how long it will go.
It's okay if you don't like BNB but as a trader or short-term investor, you should look at it that you can also take profit while others are enjoying it. They're about to do the burning of it and that's probably one of the reasons why it has gotten up to $500.

That's why many have regret that they didn't buy it when it was like $17 or $20 or $50 because there's not that much action on it. And with the movement that it has made, it's just a quick cycle that has made it to the peak.

I'm also counting on ETH once the news about upgrade comes, it will bring hype to everyone.

all shitcoins.

DOGE

BCH

Lol are you joking about that? Mentioning the garbage coin like bitcoin cash and a meme coin with an unlimited supply like doge coin.
BCH is full of hypocrite people and politicians while doge is just another pump and dump coins.

LINA has better usability rather than BCH nor DOGE coin. Stormx should be the worst one on the list.  Tongue

Which ones are known to be scams or dead projects with no social media updates or simply just shitcoins with no real world use?

If you had $1000, which ones would you avoid?
First where did you get this list? How did you learn about this project?
If I have $1000, I’ll avoid all the tokens on the list because I don’t see any value with them and never heard about those project. This is just my thoughts since I do buy those who active in the market with a great volume. You can search on top DeFi project to spend your $1000, that can be more worth it.

Let me be honest. I don't know how active their social media is, I can assume. I never heard of any of these coins, so certainly their social media is dead for them.
Regarding real world use, I guess very few coins have that. You may create a coin and claim that your coin have these usage but as long as no one accepts, it has no real value.
Nevertheless, if I were you, I wouldn’t put a buck in any of these token/coin.

It's quite difficult to erase some coins from the list consider all of the tokens that you have mentioned above already traded on the binance.
If I were you and I will divide my money which is around 1k to the all of the coins in the list, I may try to put less into the altcoin like status and iotex as the progress that already made by both were very slow compared with the newcoin like linear. I will take this as the main consideration consider LINA will be launching linear exchange very soon.

I would avoid most of them and would likely to focus on the coins that are on the trend even if they're still old coins. Like at the top coins, Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB.

I think that if I'm into short term, these coins can still be relied on because they've been making the market go crazy as BNB goes to 3rd and as usual the two other coins have always been at the top.
Instead of investing in them, l prefer also focusing on other projects as you mentioned. Coins which on the trend are the best choices and l think you have more chance by investing in older projects than in the new projects. That is why new projects can get shit so easily in the future, but older projects are most trusted. That doesn't mean every new project is bad or something else. However overall there is not any potential new project for me, and so risky to invest in them.
With the lot of new projects that are coming out lately, you really have to be wise choosing with any of them but it's still the best idea to get with those projects that have been existing already. You don't have to think of it and analyze a lot but only to look at the charts and think when is the best time to buy and sell.

What's even more scary with new projects is the hype that it creates.

However, as l said that doesn't mean every new project in the same situation, some of them have definitely good potential to get high in the future.

I don't think there is any blindness or at worse craziness that would make me invest $1000 into any of those projects, I won't even invest $10 in any of them, if you are new in cryptocurrency I basically understand why you would want to give it a try with $1000 but cryptocurrency shows no Mercy to -Newbies-, what made you short list this coins, what have you learn about them, then with a capital of $1000 are they worth the risk?

This is the first time I've heard about these coins. And I only invest in well-known cryptocurrency projects that have at least some support.

But if I had to choose, I would definitely not invest in a FUN token

Kind of hard to stay, but among your list I don't like FUNToken that much. I am not really looking to add new coins to my portfolio right now, so I am not fully up to date on all of those coins. I wouldn't say it is a shit coin, just that the future upside potential is not that great.

I will avoid METM, even though the idea of the project is good, but the price of METM does not increase, even the price goes down during altseason and I think this happened because the lack of marketing from the team or the team did not care about investors, so if I had $ 1000 then I would avoid METM.

Metamorph is not on the list  Huh

I don't literally see them as potential project tokens to set forth a good price, and am not familiar with them.
That $1k in my wallet, is worth for other potential coins like trx, reef, xrp and doge. Don't easily be deceived by dead project or inactive tokens because you'll be wasting your time and finances. Much better if we divert our asset on stable coin that has strong community.
