Ethereum is a good coin to watch right now a hardfork will be a good chance to take profit.
Max. gain coins for One month period for holding is too short. If you want to good returns then hold for long term. Trading of altcoins gives you much better returns in short term.
It is short time to accumulate for short term gains but the point is still can gain profit. Im not for short term gains because I cant manage my time. So Im also for long term investment of my coins like eth, and neo you can look into it.
For short term gains, I will choose ETH since there Ether Zero fork coming up on 19 Jan. IMO, ETH price should be rising before the fork since people are buying ETH for the free fork coin. It might not give the max gain but it is a safe choice.
You should start searching the upcoming fundamentals,you will know which coin will hype.
There are fundas with weed family coins escpecially THC,thats why the whole family of weeds gets pumping right now.scalpers will have more gains.
Agreed i am scalping with THC and CANN right now,they have upcoming events thats why they are profitable for now.

Look some website that provides a calendar with events in January. A lot of coins have planned big events after the holidays and a quick buck can be made buying now and selling after the event.

You do know short term holding doesnt go always good. And look at the circumstances of Bitcoin. Much better if you trade for an instant profit than holding it now theres no guarantee it will recover in time and might be possible but for a long time to recover and profit from it. May be due to they being in high demand now or due to the road map during this month.
