Can't go wrong with any of the top coins really but recently bitcoin has been out gaining all the other top altcoins. Expect the altcoins to start performing better than bitcoin over the next few months.
I am very optimistic that next is ethereum who will experience a pump. We know that so far ethereum is one of the big coins after bitcoin, so it is only natural if etheruem has a lot of fans who are ready to push the price up.
but in the reality that we see now the price of ethereum is quite slow when bitcoin runs so fast but ethereum still rises slightly I personally prefer bitcoin from ethereum to invest in a bull run situation

It depends on risk level you can handle. There are a lot of lowcap projects with big hype but they was dumped during 2018 bear market - they are too risky. Not so risky will be a top 10 altcoin chart, but in conclusion all of them will grow on the bull market.
Most of all I like the Ethereum coin, and it is in this coin that I see the point of investing money. But in order to invest, I first need to earn money from real work.
It seems to me that ethereum is best to cope with this task because it is long enough on the market and has a strong platform as well, it copes very well with competition.
Together with this coin I'll be adding BNB and LTC this three coins might be move upwards as bitcoin bull run will bring investors benefits and will look for good diversions still believe that most of them will be eyeing with projects that progressive and have a good marketing team to attract investors to buy in. 
It seems to me that ethereum is best to cope with this task because it is long enough on the market and has a strong platform as well, it copes very well with competition.
New coins and tokens are always the best choice for bullrun ,they always tend to bring the biggest profits overall ,since last bullrun many new projects are waiting for the next bullrun to show what they are capable of ,I won't drop a list just do your own research yourself

People will think into known coins in the market. Asking which one? Would probably be saying among the top altcoins. We don't need to dig deeper nor to find those coins below cause we want assurance and choosing those coins that have already show good market trend will be our first priority.

Cardano and Tron would give a long term investors a chance to win big profit when the bags of these tokens are going to cost just few thousands of USD but will rise up to hundred thousands when altcoin bullrun comes. But sad to say we can't predict when this will happen though. I can only see its better to just hold and keep earning some other coins if you are also into bounty hunting.
Or, instead of waiting for the alt bullrun, you could take full advantage of the btc bullrun now.

for me it is vechain, not only it has a real world value and real usecases but it is really effective on what it is trying to do in addition to the fact that they are really something when it comes to influence. That is why for me, vechain is the sleeping giant. Other coins that i love are eos, ada and eth.

Personally, I dont think there is any oncoming bull run anymore. However, it would be cool to grab some top 20 cryptocurrency coins and hold for the long term. By long term, I mean like 6 months to 1 year. Do this and thank me later.

For me any of the top 10 on coinmarketcap is good. Besides bitcoin I currently have eth and ltc on my holdings. Halving event on ltc will happen on august 6 so I expect it to pump. Eth is good throughout this previous year and consistent top 2 on cmc.

BNB has a great potential in the long term but to buy it now is not a good idea. As I see Binance Coin got dumped like any other altcoin, the reason is BTC pump, it's looking bad for BNB BTC pair. 
All major coins are good for holding especially for BTC fork coins like BCH, BCD, BTG, BSV...
Just need to wait until price of BTC become stable and then these coins will start rising...

Basing on the last bull run we have in 2017, mostly on the top 10 alt coins are good to invest to. Ethereum for example had it's all time high in early 2018 (Jan-Feb), similar with XRP. But did they have a massive pump prior in December 2017. So for me, they are still going to be the coins that will lead once the massive bull run similar to 2017 will happen again in 2020.
If I were you, I would make some research on privacy coins. Any time someone asks what coins are a good investment, you're going to get every person shilling you the coins they own. Tough call on whether any ALT right now is a good investment. Alts are in the dumps right now and will continue to dump until BTC is done with it's moonshot.
