Facebook probably is one of the last companies to trust.
You can't even imagine how many companies collect your data right at this moment. This concerns not only advertising as we know from the Cambridge Analytica case.
All you can do is reduce the amount of information collected, but for this you have to sacrifice a lot of things that you use every day.

I've seen a similar poll like this in reddit and people said Apple is the company they would trust the most with their data. Facebook seems to be the least trusted if comments in reddit could be trusted. That is not really surprising since Facebook had a lot of issues recently with data security and the tons of advertisement that are creepily disturbing to be so accurate
I guess Apple has never had as much issues as Google or Facebook with regard to data security, privacy, etc. As these sites are selling advertisement, I think it is already a given that they are going to make use of all the information possible that we are giving them. Nothing is really for free.
