When I was a new cryptocurrency user, I used to read news on the internet to collect information about bitcoin. Then, I have joined many forum and social network to learn experience from Bitcoin experts. As you can see, in bitcointalk, you can find most of which you need here. You can learn, chat, talk, make friend and I find that many people here are willing to help you to explore your mind about the cryptocurrency world
As for the news sites I recommend: www.coindesk.com (but lately they started to promote annoing number of altcoins) and https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com you can also check https://news.bitcoin.com
Best forums you can find online is definitely Bitcointalk and https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/, I find forum.bitcoin.com lackluster, but you can check it out too.

The alt sub forum of this forum is a place you should keep an eye on if you want to enter in cryptocurruncy.All major crypto have their ANN thread in ANNOUNCEMENT section of Alt coin forum where you can get all the information about that crypto

of course bitcointalk is a good start to use for daily and you can find much info on here, but if you want to search more on other website, i think you can use your search engine favorite by typing the right keyword you want. there are tons info that you can found on the search engine, do little creative and you will found what you want.
The best crypto sites are, where you can make some profit - either exchanges, gambling, Forex etc. Of course you must know the market, before any deals. Many people like buying BTC at low price and sale at high.

I used this forum to follow the trend.
Also there are some bitcoin and cryptopcurrency news site I used to, for example coindesk.
And I used bitcoin checker price app for stay updated with the price, it have alert feature which reminds me when the price reach my goal price.

Yobit for sure, as i have been using there signature campaign and also their exchange for quite a long time now but never had any problems in trading alt coins nor in deposits or withdrawals so i would surely recommend it, and its user interface is really nice, you will know it if you visit, link is in my signature, have a look and see if you like it.
If i understand exactly what you mean, you asked about the best site to learn more about crypto currencies, if this is the case i suggest you continue using this forum because its the better and with biggest community interested about crypto currencies online.

I recommend that you start reading and learning from this forum , it's the official Bitcoin's forum and here you can find a lot of useful and helpful topics about crypto currencies in general
check the charts on sites like blockchain.info. that has some really interesting stuff like transaction volume, mining details and loads more. it'll inspire you to learn a lot more.

it depends on what you want to learn about cryptocurrencies, a forum like this or on reddit/r/bitcoin or /r/crytpcurrency you can find lots of information and ask your questions.

For a general overview ragarding prices and charts I use coinmarketcap.com.
When I want to follow transactions I use blockchain.info.

I agree with you, this forum is the best way to find many informations about crypto currencies and many else about crypto. You can go to Alt coin section for other coins information and speculation section for bitcoin.
You should start with Circle.com to buy your first Bitcoin then you could look around Bitcointalk for specific things that you want...whether that may be buying things or just making money.

I think the the best place if you like to learn about bitcoin and other crypto-currencies as well is this bitcointalk forum.I also learnt almost all the thing about crypto-currency here in this forum joining discussions and reading topics.So i would say spend some time in this forum to learn most of the things about crypto-currency.

Try poloniex.. That has gotten the most volume of altcoin exchanges and has proven to be quite solid.

When you run into something you are not familiar with, google it and use that to increase your crypto understanding.
Also realize that most crypto currency "news" sites are mainly paid content providers. Anyone who pays a couple of BTC can get a positive article published on some of the popular news outlets. Be critical about what you read.
