i will consider mining electroneum. what is the current price and how can i check it ? how much time it will take to mine 100 coins?

You can check the price at various sites but this is probably the most popular: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/electroneum/

Can't tell you how long it will take to mine 100 coins - depends on how fast your laptops are and whether you can keep them running all of the time. Good luck...update us on your progress!

If you don't have any attachment to the laptops and they are worth a little bit of cash then you could consider selling the laptops and buying yourself a single GPU. Then you could actually mine a small amount of coins at a profit without ruining your hardware.

There's some good cards to get started on mining for just a couple hundred. I just got my start not too long ago on a 1080ti; I'm already planning on upgrading and grabbing another one. I tried mining on my laptop and it's just a joke; there's no laptop that would be worth it to mine on.

None since it would be a dire effort to mine even the low-difficulty altcoins using the power of an old dual-core and quad-core CPUs. Most altcoins nowadays utilizes GPUs efficiently and effectively compared to CPUs, that's why you often see GPU mining farms all over the globe and the reason why there is a huge GPU shortage happening right now. You may have utilized the full potential of your laptop and turn them into money at the cost of them degrading back in 2010-2012 when CPU-based coins are still the norm and even bitcoin can be mined with a Celeron-powered processor but in the current times, it's just wasting time, power and money.

I suggest you try mining Electroneum (Best Laptop Temp range). They have a miner available for download that works on a regular PC: https://downloads.electroneum.com/ http://www.cputemper.com

this is something to consider, its good to start now with electronuem, the price is quite low for now but if you have mined thousands of it, you still can generate a lot of money specially if the price suddenly grows. i thought this ETN is only meant for mobile mining but sure this can be a good option for OP.

Do you really want to reduce the life of your old laptops?
Why don't you sell them instead and buy coins with the money?

If you really want to mine, you can try Electroneum. I tried with an old i3 laptop, mining around 20-25 h/s. I don't think its worth it, but you can just try.

I'm GPU mining at home with 1.4Kh/s which is making approx 30 ETNs per day.
And it's perfect for the winter time, to heat up your house/room Smiley

i am newbie in this field but can you tell me where i can buy them. and second thing i want to ask what type of GPUs you are using.

You could try mining XMR and Zcash but don't think that you will be generating lot's since cpu mining has long been unprofitable.
Mind telling what are their GPU's?

I think mining BItcoin (BTC) can not use laptop because the capacity of RAM, Memory and Procecor in laptop is not able to offset server. mostly for Bitcoin miners using computer assembled PCs. the specifications of RAM, Memory and others have been enlarged. Not to mention to mine require air conditioner, Fan and expensive electricity cost. because the computer must be On 24 Hours. that's what I know to mining.

You have to use ASIC's for bitcoin: https://www.bitmain.com

my laptop have their built in intel GPUs. I didn't upgrade them with navidia or gforce. so is there any chances for me to mine with these laptops.

You can, but laptop-mineable coins are extremely scarce. Two important factors which I recommend you to avoid using your laptop for mining are:
1. Mining will reduce your laptop life-cycle; at worst might destroyed your laptop hardwares.
Because laptops usually have worse designs for heat-ventilations (limited space, less number of fans, fans are smaller than desktop computers, etc.). As my own experience, desktop computers have long life-span than laptops, even for daily simple tasks (not for mining).

2. It's definitely not profitable to use laptop for mining.
With same amount of money, you can buy better desktop computers or rigs (in terms of hardware infracstructures) than laptops. This fact means you can have more powerful hardwares than laptops with same capital investment. So why not ask yourself a simple question "Why I won't invest my money directly for buying a rig or some graphic cards to mine cryptocurrenices? Will it be better than using laptop?" I guess questions for both those two are "YES", definitely yes.

To sum up, you should not use laptop for mining cryptocurrencies.

You say that they are core i3 and i5 respectively, but this gives the impression that you are planning on using the CPUs for mining. Are you planning on GPU or CPU mining? What are your electricity costs? These two questions alone would go a long way towards telling you whether or not you should even consider it.

But i have heared that MENORO is the only currency which you can mine on laptops. what do you say?

I wouldn't say there are really any currencies that are suitable to be mined with laptops; I have a very high-powered gaming laptop with a modern graphics card. The card and the CPU just simply do not push enough power for it to be significant enough to be worth the time. If you for whatever reason do not have electricity cost, it might be reasonable to mine a CPU or GPU on a very low TDP or maintaining a very low temperature on the machine. Laptops overheat extremely quickly and do not push the type of power needed for it to be worth it to begin with.

For me, I think I have had the best luck with Bytecoin on MinerGate. With a newer laptop, you can mine like 10 bytecoin a day. Not bad considering how slow most of the other coins are with a laptop.

No chance to mine with laptop sorry!

Other options for your laptops:

1. You can stake coins, for example, Moin, Hyperstake, Hawala etc downloading their wallets, buying coins a nd transferrin them to the desktop wallet

2. Use online miners, for example https://minergate.com/a/d57dada9a4532a706881eeb8

Good luck!

You can use Electroneum miner or ezmine for browse miner. You do not get good profit on CPU minier. If you can get good profit on mine just use GPU mining.

your hardware is low. so maybe best you give staking a try or mine electroneum and zoin coin, while joining a mining pool.

It's Monero, not Menoro. There are much more coins which you can mine with CPU. Monero it's just most popular and maybe most profitable. But it's not worth using laptop, and wont earn significant amount of coins. I suggest to forget this idea.
But if you are interested, you can check this thread to see coins which can be mined with CPU:

I would look into any Cryptonight coin, but on a laptop you can't mine much unless the difficulty is extremely low...

NOt a chance. A computer needs a qualified GPU to mine XMR and ETH. You'd much prefer to hold coins or lease your WAVES token becuase you won't be using any resources through this one. Earnings will depend however to how much you hold to lease your tokens but this is rest assured you won't be doing anything else besides leasing.

Or you can also try MNX where you can store MNX to their bank for its growth.
