Hey guys. Have you ever wondered what cryptocurrencies we would use in the future?
Maybe it will be a ripple, maybe stellar, or maybe a good old bitcoin? What do you guys think? Let me know.  Wink

for my opinion, i don't think crypto can fully replace fiat currency. but maybe can be another option for easy payments  Cheesy

I am a firm believer that bitcoin is here to stay for the long term - as for the others, I am unsure

There is no doubt that digital currency will be the future of money. Only time will tell which coin will win. All I know is, given the current news about frauds and scams, the winning crypto will not only have the most efficient payment system, but the best security features as well. Do you agree?

I think Bitcoin will be around forever.  It was the first and still the most well known.  Most people think of bitcoin as the one and only crypto currency.

I’d love to know the answer to this question too. It’s better for the world to just have one cryptocurrency, right? It’s just too confusing to have all these coins present. What are the determining factors though for one crypto to be picked as “the one?”

I guess there might be multiple major cryptocurrencies in use. Not just bitcoin.

Could you post names of those cryptocurrencies?

Some altcoins are more stable than bitcoin, right? I think any digital currency that would have the best design, structure and price stability will win.
Have you heard of stable coins?

Sounds promising, right?

I see bitcoin more like a value storing currency. In the future, if there's real implementation of Crypto in day to day commerce, bitcoin makes it a little difficult because its high fees and long waits for transactions to be processed.

I agree. My bet is on ETH or some other altcoin backed by Bitcoin.
This way it resembles "virtual gold" even more.

I'm thinking privacy coins will be huge in the future.  However, I think the internet will split into three or more within the next decade.  Tim Berners-Lee wants to create a more decentralized version of the internet, the Chinese possibly having their own internet and then the current version and perhaps some more.  We're living in a revolutionary era, so if you can, join Solid as a volunteer and help create the new decentralized internet.

Bitcoin. Despite the constant fluctuation with its prices, I can see bitcoin surviving for years and I do not see how it cannot still exist in the near future. That said, I also hope to see some other new altcoins to rise. Perhaps they will rise along with bitcoin, or maybe bitcoin will be the only one to keep its place in the crypto world. What do you think?

It depends on what do you mean for future? after 10 - 30 years?  Huh
Maybe they are already existing in the market (too many cryptocurrency) that can be used, but I think the cryptocurrency that we will use in the future has not yet discovered  Grin For now only Bitcoin like this function but its high fees and long transaction processed slow down its use I think

True... What do you think about Stellar?
