with many speculators ready to jump on the halving soon,
there is an extremely likely chance we will see a BIG pump and dump during the next 12 months
(could start sooner or later and run a while or not, who knows)

with reading reports of coinbase cancelling orders etc. when BTC prices move a lot
(while they still hold funds/btc, or later offer you a different rate)

which exchange do you have the most trust in to use, during this volitile period ?

just looking to sell a very substantial amount of BTC when high and buy back after the dump
Yobit never fails to deliver my needs on my signature rewards cashout and all my trading profit so i will stay with Yobit they are improving now and make Ccex my second flatform only this from now i can adopt more when halving arrives..

i always use bitfinex, because i very like it, so i am pretty sure that it will help me during halving too, i use it for a long time now so i plan to use it in future too

but if there will be some problems, i will use yobit then, i don't like it so much as i like bitfinex, but yobit is a nice site too so if something will go wrong i will use it

When the bitcoin price rise after halving, I will use the bitcoin to buy some other altcoins. I will not sell for fiat.

To exchange altcoins, I use Poloniex or Bittrex, , but never Yobit. Mostly, by reason of the show, which Yobit are doing with many coins that have died, or whose wallets are not working properly. I do not think they are correct, and that on them can be trusted.
To obtain FIAT, I think is the most appropriate to exchange cash on the spot. A good option is through Bitcoin.de or Bitstamp, but takes more time.

I believe each and every exchange will be full of orders. How they are going to manage those situations. I plan to go with localbitcoin.com after the days of halving.

I mean if coinbase can fulfill orders or some of my orders I`d be okay.

But lets say if they didnt, the rest of my buy orders would be probably come from off another exchange like localbitcoins despite the premium.

And do most of it all in cash in person at some bank.

Here's what's not going to happen: BTC hits $800+ / coin and you unload because of halving.

Halving has never been a catalyst for major price increases and that isn't changing now.

Why won't you be able to sell off if BTC price spikes? Because most exchanges will halt trading or slow trading. Your orders may only be partially filled or not at all.

Post run-up BTC price will dive below where it is now as selling gradually resumes and people try to sell at high prices and fail.

it is possible that i will use Btc-e for my halving exchanges, because i have used them before and i am comfortable with it.

also i can sell btc-e codes to some people locally to get local currency back easily.

I do not see any volume increase due to the halving. So i will keep on using my existing exchanges.

Kraken and Bitstamp are the exchange that I am using for my trading, and I will surely continue doing so for plenty of more years as I am a happy user of their exchange platform.

I do not use those exchanges. As they are main the bitcoin/USD exchange. I trade a lot of altcoins.

I dont use any exchange at this time, but mainly on the common forum threads here.

I pretty much rely on the constant people who are buying btc with known rep, unless I really try to sell it for a premium.

All I know is that I know nothing.
BTC2BID.Fairly new and unique exchange. The concept of setting up a auction for the trade is quite unique and during halving I'd rather depend on the custom rates than those set-up by the exchanges. The closes alternative would be Localbitcoins.

I may go with BTC2BID for just few after all i'm with their campaign.
My coins however are mostly on yobit for i have been with them since the time i started with bitcoin and those that I've earned stays with them since the start. Yobit has been around for years so i think they won't go mtgox any moment and this is very important and most probably for you as well.

i have coins scattered all over in different exchangers, but i don't keep that much in some of them because of the security risks. but i have not yet thought about what exchanger to use for trading bitcoin-fiat by the time of halving.

i have used btc-e in the past but i don't know if i am going to use that anymore it has gone down a couple of times recently (nothing serious) but i will check their performance first if i want to use them by that time.

I have Bitcoin debit card bro! I wont go with exchanges to change my bitcoins to fiat. I will use my card and crash as fiat in near by ATM machine. If we go with exchanges, It would cost more money as fees in the market..

When you use the debit to purchase or get cash fiat in ATM, do you have to pay fees? Is the conversion rate better than exchange rate?

Not sure.  Which one is the most sophisticated with handling large bitcoin runups?  I will probably use Bittrex or Xapo.

I thought Bittrex is a small exchange and good for altcoin trading. I will use Bittrex or Poloniex.

How does the exchange matter anyway ? Isn't peers are the one's who set up prices for their coins and not the Exchanges ? I think it barely matters .Also who said halving will definitely be speculating prices to such an extent where only PUMP is expected ?

To be very honest,I don't think we're expecting any massive changes in the prices. The concept is too over hyped. If I ever want to get carried away by FUD's I'd rather wait for it and having them sold for dirt cheap at any exchanges with negligible fees.
agree with that,of course i'm also not matter which exchange to be considering,i'm already have my favorite exchange, and yes you right,on conceptual bitcoin halving maybe not have any influence to bitcoin price, but peoples can't stop making hope that after bitcon halving the price gonna raise so high.

Coinbase is the worst service because of all their stupid rules. especially it is worst for trading.

but to answer your question i have not yet decided, i rarely trade bitcoin/fiat so i am not really sure. i have used btc-e and bitfinex and probably gonna stick to those.

also i think recently bittrex (my favorite place to trade altcoins) has added USD-BTC market, but i haven't yet checked it out. might use that !

I use Yobit for altcoin stuff.  Bitcoin buys with fiat I use Circle for, and I have no problems with either.  Don't know what the halveninger has to do with it--I don't think it's going to make a lick of difference but we'll see.

I have always used bitfinex for all my bitcoin trading and also polo sometimes with some alts.
I think there will be lots of movements not only in bitcoin price but this will also affects the price of alts. I think i will use polo to handle small transactions on alt and bitfinex for larger transaction for bitcoin during halving run up.

No one can tell me why there's going to be a rise. If there is something of the magnitude of late 2013 I don't think any exchange is going to be able to take the weight without some problems. Kraken and Bitfinex seem to manage to fail on relatively mild days.

it's mainly bitstamp and in some cases btc-e. bitstamp is always fast and responsive. but i have noticed that when there is a lot volume and activity in the market, btc-e site slows down quite a bit from time to time. it's very annoying if you want to do some fast trading.

though i guess i will most probably go with bit-x website becauce i really like it and i already have some bitcoins in that website so i will not need to make any additional transactions
