Where you have made you account one and only Bitcointalk and i know you have mistakenly written forum over to board Grin

Hehe yeah I confused forum with board Cheesy

Hey guys, I am interested in posting Bitcoin guides on how to manage wallets and other cool tips.

Before you start posting your guides, it would be a good idea to look for similar content on the forum and not cover topics that have already been covered. It's not that I'm discouraging you or telling you what to publish or not, but some things like "how to install Electrum" or "how to make a cold wallet" are already topics with countless open threads.

But, the question is, in which forum should I post them?

Anything related to wallets or is of a technical nature would belong in Development & Technical Discussion -> Wallet software, and some crypto wallet security tips also in the same boards or maybe in Beginners&Help. What you need to know is that the threads can be moved as needed, either by you as the one who opened them, or if the moderators think it is necessary.

Tip for longer stay on the forum -> plagiarism is punishable by a permanent ban, so all content that is not yours should have a source Wink

Yeah, I get it. I've read a few guides and I think I do have a unique twist in regards to wallet security.

Hey guys, I am interested in posting Bitcoin guides on how to manage wallets and other cool tips.
You could post in wallet software board of the forum as members have suggested but if the contents are not related to that particular board then if someone report it to the moderator then it will be automatically moved to the specific board.

But you should clarify that the tips are related to wallets only or general topics also? Because something useful can go to B&H section but if you want active engagement then the above board is best.

But, the question is, in which forum should I post them?

I too will prefer beginners and help. If it is a guide, who can it help more, the newbies, I will because of this suggest the board. But also depends on the guide and not necessary mean other boards like development and technical discussion will not be good for it, especially if the guide you want to create topic about is new to people. if it is about a particular wallet, like electrum, electrum wallet has its own board on this forum which you can put guide about Electrum wallet, also goes to other wallets which you can see as child boards under wallet software.

Depending on the topic you can post your guides on different boards. Ensure that you mention guide in capital before the heading or at the end. If your topic is specifically meant for newbies to read then post it on Begginers & Help. If it is related to Bitcoin in general then post it on Bitcoin Discussion

Goodnight, o_e_l_e_o 🌹
Op does not really have to board himself much about the board to post his guides, with the nature of the statement in Op that "Which forum to post guides", it is needed that I let you know that we have just one forum here known as BTCitcointalk, then in the forum we have boards and child boards.

Also, some topics often fits in more than one board. Like your intending guide could fit in both Beginners and Help and also in Technical board. So, go ahead and make your post, if there is a chance that you made it in a wrong board, the moderators can move it. But since it is a guide, it is likely to fit in Beginners and help.

Hey guys, I am interested in posting Bitcoin guides on how to manage wallets and other cool tips.
Largely depends on the content of your guide and what exactly the "other cool tips" are.

• If the post is more specific on how actual wallets work and their utilities, then wallet software is the best fit.

• If it's more of a general guide to wallet security and tips to keep your crypto safe, beginner's & Help would be a better fit.

All in all, do not stress too much over it, after making the post, fit in into the option you feel is best based on the content. It would likely stay there is it is a fairly good fit.

What do you think about the "Wallet software" subforum? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=37.0

I'm mainly going to write guides on how to create deterministic wallets that are incredibly hard to crack even when/if you say the words/sentence.

Which forum you think would better fit my guides?

It could really fit in both Bitcoin Discussion and Wallet Software. I'd say post in the Wallet Software section if you want a better discussion, or post on the Bitcoin Discussion section if you want more visibility.

Whether or not you post it in the right section, you could always move your topic to a specific sub-forum where it's more fitting. Maybe someone would report that current post of yours that it's fitting to Beginners and Help Bitcoin Discussion, or Wallet Software.

I think when it's more technical, you should post it in the Development and Discussion or Wallet Software. But if it's just a general guide, the Bitcoin discussion, or Beginners and Help section would be okay.

Beginners and Help[1] board probably suit on bitcoin related guides. Lots of how-to threads posted there by different users to guide newbie and non-newbies.

Some thread have "[Guide]" on the subject thread, maybe you can add it too.
