It may be worth to note that while XFX has unlimited warranty they are generally lower quality and will break down more.

card manufacturer won't make a difference. an xfx 5850 will perform equally well to a sapphire 5850.

Yes. but it kind of matters because some cards have MUCH louder fans. *cough* XFX *cough*

Hi,

which graphic cards can I use for gpu mining?

I saw some with a ATI 5850 GPU was used - can I use cards from each card manufacturer with this processor for this purpose?

ATI cards work best, specifically the higher end 5000 and 6000 series cards like your 5850.
You can mix and match cards from different manufacturers, and of different makes and models.
For example, right this very second I'm using a 5850 and 5830 on this box mining in the background.
