Just forget about these review sites and just use common sense when you invest your money. A review site is just another method for scammers to scam people out of their hard earned money.

Use Google and search for scam allegations and also use this forum to see what people are saying about this ICO in their ANN thread. If there are a problem with the ICO, people will have left complaints in their thread.  Wink

I totally agree with the previous answers, doing your own research is key. However, I can suggest ICOBench (although they have sometimes a weird algorithm, so that the rating is not really accurate in my eyes), ICODrops and Smith+Crown. I hope that helps!

I think the answer is already stated on the previous messages : It is so hard to determine which is trustworthy and not

But I would like to give a suggestion what are the other parameters that you can use to determine if the bounty is a scam or not:

1. Bounty Manager
 - a good and respected bounty manager can ensure you that he is managing a legit bounty campaign.  The hardworking bounty manager will do research prior engaging a bounty campaign.

2. Good ICO Management
 - I always look at the management if they are real people and if they have pictures to show themselves.  I always make sure that the pictures are not just a copy of random pictures in the internet.  If they have video recording or facebook live to answer the queries of the investors, then these are thumbs up to me.

Hey guys, question: What sites do you trust the most for ICO ratings and reviews?

Thanks!

Personally, I am using this http://icoanalytics.org/ to see some interesting projects and they have their own grade too.

Always DYOR even after you have read all those ICO ratings and reviews above.

In my opinion, Ico bench and Ico ratings are one of the best and trustful sites for reviews and ratings. They have kep yearly records as well.

In short?   NONE !!

They all have own interests, most getting paid for the reviews, some in the reviewed tokens, some in BTC, but most in $$$$ !
This one describes it so good, its almost end topic/discussion here.
Don't believe in 3rd pty reviews, do your own, use common sense always, be careful, understand what this technology is actually.

I think ICODrops is the best one: https://icodrops.com/
If they review and rate if high, there is a high chance that the ICO will be successful. You can just look at their track record.
Although, the do not review many ICOs.

Not necessarily, there are also good ICOs but those are very hard to find. Many good start-ups are lost among hundreds and hundreds of other ICOs with good financial and aggressive promotion. Check this one just is case - eco-start.com

Hello!
When you ask a question like this, firstly you should trust yourself and have knowledge about ICO and cryptoccurency. Now there are many projects, but only some of them can collect a big amount of money. It's because of the most of them think that marketing agencies will help, but it's wrong. If the project is really good, it needs only well prepared documentation. Our company propose teams to do investement and technical expertises, which can reveal some risk factors of their documentation, also we provide objective rating assignement. We do it together with professional analytics from investement and consulting business, they have big experience and know what qualities good ICO project should have. You can check ratings and overviews in our site https://alfarating.com/ico/ and maybe you'll find something interesting for yourself Wink

Rating sites and reviews on ico projects, you have a huge number of sites on the Internet. For ico i use https://www.listico.io/, you have active, future and also preICO programs. The next is https://topicolist.com/. This is also very good for ICO airdrops - https://icomarks.com/airdrops. There is almost no universal guidance on ICO (Initial Coin Offering) investment. The basis of each ICO is a white paper - a document that details most aspects of the project you are about to invest in. My advice is to study the project you want to invest in. If you plan to invest in an ICO project, be careful and do not forget to use your own head. After all, it's just your money, and you're the only one responsible for it.

Most of them are paid which is why you should search more and more to invest also I recommend you to take a look at their road map and bitcointalk thread comments.
I thought so, after i google such websites. But good, that i have found the confirmation for this.

There isn't a definite site but i think icodrops is relatively quite a comprehensive ico information platform, but for reviews I just often see different bloggers posting their views and comments on particular projects coz on different aspects different professionals would give out some vulnerable opinions.

Unfortunately no, all ICO review sites have payed someone to promote the ICO they have interests on. Go do your homework and come to your own conclusion. I believe any project with strong technical background and a high performing team could be a good long-term investment .

I heard a lot of info about icobench, and most of all is like "this is the scam".

Agreed.
They have too many projects rated by "random" investors and its seem strange how many of them from the same bunch of investors(total investors base about 22K people).

icotokennews and icorating look ok, but remember, that every listing has a paid promotion. So better to do your own research.

Most ICO ranking sites rank for money. A few weeks ago I started to do a bounty program highly rated ICO on that particular ICO review site. After finishing the ICO, the team has stolen all the fund. When the news coming out about that, ICO ranking site suddenly downgrades their ranking without any notice or comment.  https://cryptodiffer.com/ is nice website including highly rated ICOs which suggest by many teams. You can get rough idea form this website but do your own research before investing on any ICO.

I'd have to second Ian Balina.  Not 100% about the other.

But as always, Do Your Own Research.

Also (important!), when you do find an ICO you want to participate in, make sure you use the right Platform to buy that initial ETH/BTC (are they the right ones for you in terms of security, ease of use, fees and so on...)

Good luck!

No way, You can not trust rating of any ICO rating website. Rating can be easily compromised. You have to apply your own mind to get best results.
Many time I saw after ICO you can buy token even less than ICO price. So I wait for that time only. Also chances of getting scammed can be minimize like this.

But yes some time price may go up like anything it all depends on demand and supply.

Anyone has his own interest in mind. However you can mitigate the risk if you look at different sources. Doing your own research on top should help to weed out any scam project. I invested in a lot of ico projects. Not everything is black or white. There are shit projects in traditional markets as well. You just have to remind yourself in crypto, that you are responsible for your own actions. Look twice as deep into any project and i doubt get out.

Telling people all icos are shit is the wrong way to look at things. There are at least over 100 projects that performed outstandin in the past year and are continuing to do so. Just because the market is down, doesn't mean every projects are bad. The teams are still there. Working hard for a better future. And that won't change for the best project, regardless how these pump and dump markets are shaking investors.

I like the Titan Research Summary Spreadsheet for example. It's easy to use and not overloaded with unnecessary informations. They consist of various experts, have a proven trackrecord and are collecting every review on the web. They have at least 20 different review sources. It seems like they also want to rate different experts based on their performance and they collaborate with youtubers, to provide their community with unique project reviews. People always need to think for themselves. Demanding to be spoonfed is always the wrong decision

That's what they say about themselves:

Our team is based in Zurich (Switzerland), Munich (Germany), Graz (Austria) and Plymouth (UK)

Since most of us worked at various tech startups, we know about the difficulties and challenges new companies face everyday. Our evaluation model takes our personal experience into account and allows us to filter projects effectively, based on various parameters. In addition to our own research, we also expand our knowledge with respectable third party resources, such as hacked.com, smith and crown, cryptobriefing, cryptocrush, upwork crypto analysts or various youtube researchers, social media research groups and publicly available review spreadsheets.

️Our vision⚙️

We strongly believe that shared investments of like minded people, that are passionate about a project will challenge and complement traditional institutional investments behind closed doors.

More and more projects decide to cancel public sales, because they’ve got enough funding in their presales. In one year from now, public offerings will change rapidly and likely diminish. That is why we are aiming to create one of the biggest decentralized investment communities, to go even further beyond what is deemed possible today.

I would rather believe what community like forums, social media groups, trusted crypto friends, says that ICO reviews sites. Though ICO review somehow helpful, not because they are accurate but because they can contribute to certain ICO's success by reaching more potential investors who have trust in them. I don't believe ICO review for the fact that they are paid to list ICO and not because they see positive future for it.

I agree that all these ratings like ICO rating just came to the market at the nice moment and now earn huge amount of money.
Anyway, I know that this ICO rating, for example, asks a lot of money just to make an audit of your project, and if this project doesn't meet requirements, they will not include it in the list. So, we can trust it at least to some extent.

It's most popular sites you can easily google, but not all of them are really trustworthy.

All these sources have pricelist and you can easily buy a place at the top 5-10.

The best option will be monitoring few sources you personally like and then compare ratings and make own research.

most sites listing ICO, They are members who outline the standards and quality of each ICO and rating according to their assessment
on the scope / valued part and set the minimum mark above the standard. and there are sites that generally give you the opportunity
to help them evaluate each IDO listed freely, the rating will change from time to time according to popularity rating. I like to see here to search
what is contained in ICO that is in line with my investment trend

ICO check is the first place I go when looking at an ICO.
They don't look at the tech or the community etc, which is what alot of ICOs focus on... they have a set of due diligence questions that they use to figure out whether the company and the founders are legit or not. It's a community effort and they publish any evidence they find.

It's a good resource as in input into decision making.

https://icocheck.io/

People will tell you to do your own research and it's a cliche but it's true. Check your confirmation bias at the door, do your own research and figure out if you would buy the product (or think that a business would) that the ICO is proposing.

Good luck on your travels!

This is a great a resource. Fully support.

I think there is great opportunity for content creators in the crypto world to act more as journalists than billboards. The audience you can amass by telling the truth and being objective will go a long way as people are seeking experts who aren't necessarily in it for the money.

And of course, you can monetize an audience like that without completely selling out like some of these YouTubers and websites that are making huge bucks giving favorable reviews to projects they wouldn't even put their own money into.

Hey guys, question: What sites do you trust the most for ICO ratings and reviews?

Never take advice from anyone about investing. Go do your homework and come to your own conclusion. Personally I believe any project with strong technical background and a high performing team could be a good long-term investment, but that’s my opinion and you shouldn’t consider that as investment advice as well.

I agree with this mainly - the "ICO Rating" sites are mainly sites to make money by featuring ICO's.

However, the only reason why I think that not every public source of information is suspect is because I actually run a weekly podcast (although I'm late this week) that analyzes ICO's.  And I don't accept anything from any ICO. What I hope to do is that through the analysis I provide I try to teach people how to analyze an ICO.  There are a number of things that you can do to look carefully at a project.  And I don't think they are ALL scams. I agree that some of them stretch the bounds of usefulness, and some of them are indeed outright scams, but some are entirely legit.  One that I analyzed a few months ago named Lamden seems completely legit to me - people building development tools for the blockchain.  So, I think they have to be taken one by one.  Agreed - it's a needle in a haystack, but it's worth it in the long run, in my opinion, even if only to learn about how people are planning to attempt to solve problems using blockchain technology.

Actually none!

All ICO review sites have payed someone to promote the ICO they have interests on.

Then you follow them and also buy, but at a higher cost.

When the ICO is released the majority have a pump, they sell for 10x they have bought, the majority holds because the same youtubers that are payed to promote the ICO say to hold, there's a big dump and you loose the money.

Or they hold your money because they have changed something on the roadmap

Or they close the website

Or they make an internal exchange where you are obliged to trade and loose value

Or they freeze the withdraws

There are so many ways of you to lose money on a ICO that all those that rates them cannot know if the ICO is oging to work or not.

Advice from someone who has lost a lot of money. Don't go that way.

Unfortunately, I need to agreed with previous answer.

Most sources would give you 5 stars, publish your press release or just gave you very positive rating for some crypto.
I personally faced with tons of such services and most of them have a price-list. So anyway you need to be really carful choosing the ICO and make you own research.

If we can build up here some kind of "proven and independent sources" would be great.
