The answer in your problem are very easy mate, to frozen your asset i recommend use your local wallet in your location and learn the safety of this wallet for your easy access to convert into fiat if you need it to use. but the most reliable and secured to frozen your asset with have strong key try this online wallet platform nexybit use for trading but you can put your bitcoin asset there to frozen.

The high possibility is that you are losing money and want to switch to fiat currency to avoid more losses right? The sincere advice is that you should exchange all cryptos into USDT as the best way to freeze assets. USDT is a crypto-based on fiat currency, so the exchange rate is always USD 1, you can relax exchange to USDT then hold until the cryptocurrency market recovers.

In my opinion, freezing assets is only necessary in large quantities of a currency where it does not have the liquidity to sell them or by own option to save for a possible increase. Maybe we can have the option to reduce this in other currencies to insure the values for a while, but it can be risky, so the only currency for freeze is Bitcoin.

I think it would be very safe to convert them into fiat, then move again if you want to trade, that's a good strategy in my opinion.

that would take so much of your time, money and effort, remember, you will always need to pay for your transactions and everything. it is better to convert your coins to tether. tether is always stable and will never go down or up to its standard which is $1.

sell and go back to fiat (not fiat named altcoins such as Tether but fiat itself because stable coins such as USDT have a lot more risk although they don't look it!).
the main reason for that is that you should never hold something (an asset! if we can call it that) which is highly volatile and manipulated. we have seen time and time again that altcoins/tokens got pumped big time in a week and then died right afterwards. holding these things is never a wise choice unless you like losing money.

the best way to save assets is to convert them into fiat and then you store them in the bank, but if you still intend to invest then ethereum seems to be a good place.

Instead of freezing your assets which I think is not really necessary, why not sell most of them and you can keep the money in the bank and then leave the rest in the wallet so that they you make profit by the time recover and the price of coin increases. You can also sell and buy more stable coin that have potential to grow rapidly as soon as the market recover.

I agree with other members that the best way is to sell your assets for tether. It is very stable with the constant price of one dollar. Some people are afraid that its stability is not backed up the way it should be and that one day this coin will crush, but so far there's nothing that stable and time-proved anyway, so if you are not afraid of it  - use it.
Another way is to sell everything for bitcoin. While it is not stable, it is not likely to fall down even more, so you'll probably win out of this decision.

When I'm trading I get off trades with btc or ETH on my balance. Alts value goes down in a flash so its like pouring your money in a drain. When I get back into trading I go for another coin to trade. Ride with the pumps and get off again with btc and ETH. Ethereum and btc can be used in all your trades. Nothing to worry not like other alts once they drop price you instantly lose and you can't do nothing but wait for it to recover again.

You can store your assets in USDT, for that you just need one omni wallet or you can just send your USDT (tether) to your bitcoin address whose private key is with you than whenever you want to spend it just import your bitcoin address on omni wallet and send it.

Or you can try new trueusd (TUSD) which is based on ethereum smart contract.

Still the most stable option is investing in bitcoin and ethereum. If you pay attention to the charts, you will see that these two coins are the most stable behave.

Tether is the best way for that but I would not withdraw it to any other exchanges because it costs a lot, its ethereum version may be better, or true usd but have not used it.

I don't think I completely understand what you are talking about, if you want to have a stable value of your crypto there are some stable tokens you can buy, the most popular is Tether and TrueUSD. One token is tied to $1. So if you are looking to protected your portfolio without getting into fiat this could help

if you have an asset, especially a large or popular crypto then hold hold or freeze. but if by selling it you get a profit, then sell and convert into fiat or tether.
Yes, I agree that Tether and Fiat are the best forms of asset freezing. Freezing is a way of maintaining and protecting property effectively for traders and investors. It also has the ability to reinvest quickly and either by tethering and Fiat are accepted for pair exchange on any transaction site.

You should either turn it to a stable coin like trueusd or tether or you should simple exchange it with usd but that is not always possible so keeping it in btc is the best way.

Since the market is so volatile , i really don't know about any coin that has remained stable for a long time . When the market  takes a red bath , it is almost the same for all the coins and in that case thinking about the assets being frozen is not possible . The most obvious way is cashing out , but again why cash out all the assets if there is a big chance of benefits and growth in the price later ?

Some people are using Tether (USDT) to move to while the markets go down but there are a few open investigations regarding it so I'm not sure how viable this solution will be long term.

If you're looking at short to mid term and willing to check news constantly then that may be a solution otherwise you need to check other options.

I have joined on several telegram channels that discuss trading signals and techniques.
there I get a safe trading techniques that is managed capital. for example, buy assets (coins) 30% of your capital, the remaining 70% fiat. and if the price of the coin falls. buy again, gradually. so the price of the coins you buy goes up then you will benefit a lot.
hopefully can help you, sorry my language is not good.

There is no way to satisfy you. Friends, why do you want to freeze assets? Are you a rich man? Or are you a gambler? Why do you want to freeze assets? I do not understand. In addition to depositing banks to keep capital flowing, there is no good way to freeze assets.

My opinion is that if you really want to preserve your assets, cash out into fiat and keep it in a bank.

Cryptocurrencies are still too volatile to be thought of as something as a store of value. Just take a look at the charts. You could be down or up by 50% in a single day, even with huge currencies like Bitcoin or even Ethereum.
Don't generalize cryptocurrencies, read the comment above your post about the stable coins.

You may never heard of it but it's also like you are cashing out into fiat but this is less hassle if you want to buy back some crypto's again in the future. Keeping in the bank for few bucks is good but if that's big enough, you are helping them with their business.

The only safest way for you to keep your asset through use the stable currency or crypto just like tether, to liquidity your amount into the fiat is also a good move too. But tether has a very stable valuation which around 1$ for 1 tether and it will never be changed.
Both to secure your amounts and to avoid the possibility of your asset to get decrease due to the volatility.
