ASICMiner is the only company that can ship you an ASIC miner in a reasonable amount of time.  For every other company, no one really knows when / if you will receive your miner.  Many are selling products that do not yet exist.  Here is another summary of the ASICs:

Hmm, it seems that for every one of the asic companies (except asicminer) there are multiple conspiracy theories surrounding them, in particular pre-mining using customer paid-for hardware, never shipping, no escrow etc. Are there any that have very good reputations or are they all "extremely high risk"?

Great, that's just what I was looking for. Looks like KNC miner is the way to go.
Now to do some digging on the company!

Its all over the board, but from what I can tell, if you want to get a USB device ( block Erupter USB  ~300 gh/s ) you can pretty much find one and get it within the week.
Too bad that the current price and BTC difficulty of these , they will not generate enough BTC to pay for themselves.  It is mostly a novelty item.  For anything more substantial with quick delivery you will have to buy used from a marketplace or auction site.

If you are looking at new ASIC rigs, it appears that late August -September for a lot of the  Klondike boards - Avalon clones.  If you browse the custom Hardware forum, you can get a rough idea from the posts in there.

I'm looking at buying an ASIC rig to complement my 7950's and I'm not sure which of the products on the market are a)legit and b)shipping soon. Is there a site that goes over all the specs, shipping times etc that I've missed? It seems that everyone is claiming "the asics are coming" but no one is really sure when, if ever they are going to hit the network.
