I am looking to save my bitcoins in coinbase vault.

Is it secure to save them in it.

Or suggest me some other secure and safe bitcoin vault or wallet.

mm nah , well they are safe for the moment but no one will really recommend you to use Online wallets , it finally ends badly and ugly by getting hacked .
Try to use an Offline wallet like Bitcoin Core or Electrum (Bitcoin COre is pretty good if you don't mind downloading the whole blockchain file) or if you have big amounts of BTC , simply buy http://www.bitcointrezor.com/ , It's a Hardware wallet and totally secure .

Yes you can store them in coinbase. Other more secure i think is btc-e. where you need to verify your withdraw before withdrawing your btc. Both coinbase and btc-e are secure wallet.

if you wana see more you can check this guy thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/which-btc-wallet-are-you-using-947849

coinbase is definitely one of the top secure solutions
btc-e's main business is an exchange, I would not recommend storing any coins there not meant for trading

I suggest you to use (or at least check) greenAddress (it uses multiSign). This is the official thread here in the forum:
