Hi all,

I am using 2x HD6950 crossfire for mining altcoins. I am using i19 which gives me about 850kh/s. However, temperature rises over 95C running it with that intensity. I've read that 95C is too hot for those cards... Plus the fact that according to this website I should get over 1Mh/s with those cards. Can you please help me find the right settings to get more then 850kh/s without burning my house down?

Thanks a lot!

With kind regards,

Mosredna

Came here to find out the same thing, except my HD6950 is a HIS Twin Frozr. Pic (not sure what's screwed up in Anubis settings yet)

The HD6950 is "GPU0". Getting around 420Kh/s, temperature staying in the 70s. It used to be running in the 90s, but all I did was change the location of the rig itself to a room without a heater (the kitchen, heh) and it's fine. Try and move it to the coldest room in the house, or if it has to stay in a particular room, the coldest part of the room (like away from a heater or near a window).

Also these things seem to be mandatory:
- External fan blowing on it.
- Open air rig, like in a milkcrate
- Cards on risers

Without them or at least the first 2 I don't think there's much possibility of maxing out your cards' potential. And note the two 6950 cards that were listed on the wiki that had over 500 kh/s (giving you that 1Mh/s you want) both say they've got their shaders unlocked. The other 6950s which are around 400-450 kh/s don't...seems this is mandatory as well.

FWI I don't know if you're doing this but I've read that you shouldn't use the crossfire feature for mining.

Anyways let me know if you find out more information.
