I would also consider taking a look at both NiceHash and Cudo Miner. Both bitcoin mining softwares are compatible with Windows and Linux machines.

Here are some useful videos for getting started with each:

NiceHash
1. NiceHash for Windows PC - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xfv8EEm431Q
2. NiceHash QuickMiner for Windows PC - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVZ-DKF7bk4
3. NiceHash for Linux - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DAXlV7i9Oo

Cudo Miner
4. Cudo Miner for Windows PC - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGZu54uxzAw

Mining Software is very important for Bitcoin mining. With the evolution of time and the development of technology, different types of mining software are available in the market. It cannot be said with certainty which of them will be the most useful and profitable. Below are some of the popular mining software, which one is the most suitable and why?

1. CGMiner
2. BFGMiner
3. EasyMiner
4. BitMinter
5. CGMiner ASIC/FPGA
6. MultiMiner
7. Diablo miner
8. Bit Moose
9. Miner- Server
10. RPC Miner
Even many mining softwires have appeared in recent times, among them CGMiner Bitcoin Mining Software is quite popular. Due to several advantages of this mining software, it has gained maximum acceptance for use by all. Especially CGMiner's open source build's ability to run on any computer, as well as its easy compatibility with mining hardware, keep it still at the top of the miner's choice list. But this software runs on Mac, Windows and Linux but it is difficult to install on Windows 10 computer. But this manning software is compatible with ASIC, GPU and FPGA. A miner basically uses mining software to his advantage. Many miners can also use BFGMiner and MultiMiner software for mining.

all ASIC units for mining Bitcoin I think they only use BFGminer and nothing else.
Um, virtually all use -ck's/Kano's cgminer as their embedded miner control software along with their own specific chip driver to communicate with it (and in violation of the open source GPL lic refuse to publish their source code)-- not Luke Jr's ripoff of it...

The only exceptions are those using Bitfury chips (Bitfury has their own miner code) or folks that switched out the OEM cgminer code to use Braiins.

Are you talking about altcoin mining? then this is not the right place to post this, all ASIC units for mining Bitcoin I think they only use BFGminer and nothing else.

There is no very important or best it's all depends on the ASIC units performance and efficiency there are lots of ASIC miner that support sha256 algo and for me, both Canaan and Bitmain units are fine
