Saw series had too many uninteresting movies in my opinion. As for the Batman, the new series are good but the stertorous and choking Christian Bale is a disaster

I think "Pirates of the Caribbean" series is the best. Not because all the movies were great but because every movie was at least decent.

Lord of the Rings should be included, i also like Iron Man 1-3. 
You missed LOTR and as noted above Alien should also get a nod.
The Fast and The Furious. A very nice movie high respect to all the characters.
How about the Ring series of films. The Japanese ones that is.
I go for Pirates of the caribbean series.Harry Potter series is also quiet good I believe close to this one.

If we are adding to the list, the Alien series would be a pretty credible addition.

I was going to say the Indiana Jones movie series was pretty good, but then I remembered they actually made a fourth movie... 
The Terminator and Die Hard.
Pirates of the Carribean and Star wars. Both are getting new iterations in 2015 as well can't wait !!!

My favourite series is probably "Star Wars". The original trilogy is such a classic. It was totally out of its time, hard to imagine they were filmed in the 70/80s. The new episodes are not as good, did their job as a prequel trilogy. Looking forward to the new trilogy next year.
"Terminator" is good too. I enjoyed the "Back to the future" series too, any one remember this?

The godfather.
Of those listed, the Terminator and Star Wars series. Godfather was epic but not really that re-watchable in my opinion and the second one kind of drags on for a while...
I like Harry Potter but i was a massive fan of the books.
I think everyone of those film series has at least one crapper. And some of the franchises have reboots or films that aren't really part of the originals like American Pie and all its shitty straight to dvd sequels etc.

None of them . I do love the American Pie series though, but not sure what I'd call my favourite movie series. People are also going to complain about The Godfather trilogy being absent (even though I personally don't care for them at all).
