I have used different kind of antivirus software such as: Avira, Kaspersky, Norton, AVG. On my static computer and laptop now I am using Nod32 and I am satisfied by it. Smiley

On my Windows machine I use ESET Endpoint Security and common sense. I like the interactive firewall feature in Endpoint. That way I can immediately see if my executables are connecting somewhere where they shouldn't.

I use avast free antivirus.

I suggest you better download other anti-virus. Like malwarebytes and search for its free code cos avast is not a reliable virus scanner for me

I do not believe very much that a antivirus will save my computer from attack. It could save but i have to pay. So i use the free options and format my computer on a few months period. I am using Avira at the moment Smiley

I did not use any antivirus to date.
No need.
No porn. No warez. As it stands it does not mean the virus.
Antivirus and computer rather slow.

Avira Antivirus

Sure,, Nod32 is free and awesome Cheesy

When did Nod32 become free?  *goes to check that out*

Anyway, I just use Windows Defender.  If you are a smart internet user that is more than enough.  You do not need all these expensive applications if you know what sites to visit and what files are safe to download.

Bitdefender 2015 is the most secure now by 3rd party reviews.

Of course all av could contain sneaky spyware but i`ll just assume its relatively safe atleast against wallet stealing crap.

I don't use anti virus, i make sure i know exactly what i download or what is on any peripheral that is stuck into my computer. After that i browse through my files using explorer.exe or Ccleaner and delete them myself if it looks fishy

I use Comodo free for some 5 years already, I think.
For the phone I had Bitdefender paid version (some 1 year key I've got for free) and it expired, now I can't make my mind between CM and Comodo.

I am getting disappointed of ESET. It used to be great. But now at work we switched from NOD32 to Endpoint Antivirus (the solution for businesses) and it sux bigtime. It slows down the computer VISIBLY.

I am currently using ClamTK and COMODO to test if any nasties has got on my system, which it hasn't. Many false windows positives though. 'Linux' probably don't really need AV to be fair but helps me feel a little safer lol

Since I've moved to Linux Mint 3 months or so back, I've haven't bothered to install an anti-virus and I'm not even worried  Tongue When I was on Windows I was using Avast which I think is a very good free anti-virus. I also used AVG for years but I find Avast a little less resource hungry.

I used Avast on the last year, but then I saw that it NEVER really detected anything, so I made my computer a favor and removed it.
Now I have better ping responses and making temporary server with it is less painful.

I'm using Avast Free Version. Just extand for another 365 days this morning.

I don't use antivirus or anti-malware. I like my PC running fast. I also disable any startup programs unless they are required for the operation of hardware.

I also disable windows services that I don't use. Firewall for example.

I use Avast (simple and effective) along with other security programs such as Malwarebytes (trust me, great program). That's the two that, in my opinion, is all you need to be safe from most unwanted creepy crawlies in your PC.

Maybe I am just paranoid.... but I would not post here what I'm using.  By saying this a "bad guy" could easily test their item to see if you will detect it.

I and it would get harder with them having to get you to download or somehow get the infected item.

I am personally only using Windows Defender or whatever it is called and Avast.  I probably don't even need Avast but, meh, oh well.  It doesn't use many resources anyway.
