Once a man, twice a child!
neither of them. bitcoin should prevail.
miners are the "equipment owners" who have invested money in a business called bitcoin mining to make profit. easily replaceable.
developers are knowledgeable programmers maintaining the code, bug fixing, and improving things. since bitcoin is open source they are also replaceable (not easily though).

but bitcoin is what remains. and must prevail. and people are investing in bitcoin because of what they see bitcoin is and what they can do with it, not because they see miners or developers.

I quite agree with you. The good of Bitcoin should prevail above the dev and miners. If there is anything that dissatisfies and grieves me much, it's the slow confirmation and backlog of transactions that have now become second nature to bitcoin.

Whollistically speaking, I think on the other hand that the devs hold the sceptre because without them miners won't have any Bitcoin transactions to process.

Since Bitcoin is a community the developer dont just make changes to the codes without getting a consensus in the community particularly the stakeholders. But in essence developer can deploy codes but miners play a significant role for they are the one who have the computers/hardware to process the transactions.  Do you think we have a monopoly in miner?

The system is a two way streak and none can exist without the other, the miners play a very significant role in the bitcoin system, without them transaction would be stuck all the time leading to the downfall of the total system.

Both are important for bitcoin and it's not fair to give more importance to one over the other. Imo both are equally important and there's nothing like monopoly in bitcoin hence both should prevail . And above all like someone already said bitcoin should prevail.

We have four major companies that controls the majority block of mining. F2pool about 19% and Antpool about 18%. They invested heavily on mining equipment and that is why they want to protect their investment.

Anyone can become a miner, but it takes a life time of learning and experience to become a great programmer and develop stuff like bitcoin.

I think miners need to cool off a bit, they are not some benevolent Bitcoin enthusiasts who secure the network for free, they mine because of profit, and since more and more people join the mining scene, some miners started looking for unconventional methods to boost their profiits - asicboost, spam attacks, fork threats, etc. So, users should stop looking up to them as some titans who hold Bitcoin on their shoulders, miners are just hired contractors, and they are not in position to dictate what Bitcoin should look like, it's the job of developers to release new updates, and the job of community to judge them.

To maintain decentralization, both the miner and the developer should prevail.

No one needs to prevail just for the sake of bitcoin decentralization, being decentralized means all bitcoin users are part of the chain playing different role. And ofcourse there are key player that plays important role and that's not mean bitcoin is not decentralized once miner have a key role on the chain

Bitcoin users are necessary to hold bitcoin economy while bitcoin node operators and miners are essential part of bitcoin network. Developers are volunteers who make sure that required changes and bug were fixed on time. So all should be equally treated to have healthy, working bitcoin network.

Neither developers nor miners have monopoly in bitcoin community.  Wink

They must both prevail for me though because it is a duo that correlate with each other without the consent of one of them will be a mass confusion for the Bitcoin community that can result of bad events. But all I see today is like 60% in favor of devs and 40% in favor of miner because at the end of the day the one who make changes is the devs it is just up to them how will they explain it to the miners for them to agree with them.

Both developers and miners having influence is a form of decentralization.

If all of the power were distributed only to miners, or only to developers, that would represent a more centralized format.

To maintain decentralization, both the miner and the developer should prevail.

It turns out that we have a monopoly of the bitcoin user?

This is not a competition.Nobody should "prevail".We need consensus between devs and miners                     in order to solve the main problems facing bitcoin-high fees and slow confirmation time.
What do you mean by "monopoly in miner"?When more and more btc are mined, mining gets more difficult and
expensive and only the big players in mining remain, but i wouldn`t say that this is a monopoly.

I agree they both need to co exist, Bitcoin is successful because miners and developers are working along fine if there are miscommunication or disagreement we can easily tell by bitcoin's price dip,I am not a miner so I cannot tell wil accuracy if there are monopoly but hopefully there's not

I think no , because Here the role of the developer team is to make the problem away from the network and make improvements time to time by the upgrade of the technology time to time ( here most common example is launching of segwit2x will happen by the developer team at 1 August ) .
But in case of the miners , You can't understand what the problems they are facing because the mining job are not much profitable for every place , so most of the people are making btc byy buy not by mining . Here the job of the miners is to solve the problems of the transaction whether the transaction is going to that particular person who want to receive or not .
Beside the miners there are something like node system which confirms  the transaction .
So here it will.be more better to say that Bitcoin is not limited to a particular  person of group of person .
In reality it depends upon many things and factor and supports ,so  there is nothing monopoly in miner or in any other parts of this network system of blockchain .
