I see, that makes sense. The main reason I want to consolidate them is so I can buy more GPUs. What is the best way to expand to more GPUs?

I'm still thinking about buying the simple GPU rack from MiningShed.com and getting a bigger power supply and some risers. Maybe keeping the number of GPUs spread out as evenly as I can between systems. But I still need a bigger power supply and a rack of some kind. Either that or another system with a case to house 2 more GPUs.

My setup right now:

(1)
4 GPUs (2x RX 470, 2x RX 480)
EVGA 850 B2
Celeron G1840
GA-Z97X-Gaming7
This system isn't pretty and I would like to get a rack for it. See -> http://imgur.com/V65hxeD

(2)
1 GPU (RX 570)
EVGA 500B
Pentium G4560
MSI Z270M MORTAR

(3)
1 GPU (RX 470)
EVGA 430W White
Core 2 Duo
motherboard w/ only 2 PCIe slots (x16, x1)

Now, I want to buy some Nvidia GPUs. I also want to stop using the Core 2 Duo system with the 430W power supply as that system is used by someone else in the house. I think consolidating the 6 AMD GPUs would be okay if I'm getting 2 more Nvidia GPUs, and I sort of expect to have 4-6 Nvidia GPUs. (AMD cards are unavailable.)

both are not too good.

also  you only have 6 cards  the worst thing you can do with six cards is build 1 six card rig.

60 cards and 10x 6 cards rigs is fine.

So what are you saying? I should keep the six cards in separate rigs? If so, could you tell me why?

well  here goes 1 six card rig
psu goes = zero hash
mobo goes = zero hash

3 two card rigs
psu goes = 2 rigs running
mobo goes = 2 rigs running

You can put the 3 rigs in three rooms to spread heat
A 6 card can run hot in a room  harder to keep room cool.

lots and lots of rigs with spare parts and six card rigs make some sense.

I need help deciding on which setup to go with. I already have 6 GPUs (3x RX 470 4GB, 2x RX 480 4GB, 1x RX 570 4GB) spread out between 3 desktop computers, but I want to consolidate them on to one of the motherboards I already have. I'm considering these options.

(1)
ALL ALUMINIUM 6.1 GPU OPEN AIR MINING CASE W/ 6 USB RISERS + (1) 1200W PSU KIT
http://www.parallelminer.com/product/all-aluminium-6-1-gpu-open-air-mining-case-w-6-usb-risers-1-1200w-psu-kit-eth-zec/

or

(2)
6-GPU Open Air Aluminum Mining Extension Frame
https://miningshed.com/product/6-gpu-only-aluminum-frame/

+

2x EVGA 750 G2 (or similar PSU) + PSU connector

+

6 PCIe Riser pack

Any reason to go with or NOT go with one setup over the other?

Between ripoff #1 and ripoff #2 I say build your own. Doing the math they are charging $200 for that POS frame? GTFO.. no thanks.

Hi. I like the frame of option (1). This frame looks like it will hold all components rather than just the GPUs on option (2). However, I would be weary that the power supply would burn out.
