I remember a site called coinmarketcalendar which lists the upcoming events of the crypto projects. But it's better to check some Twitter accounts as they keep updating regularly.

I have bookmarked many cryptocurrency news related sites in my browser some of them are popular and some of them are not notable but provides genuine and knowledgeable information that's what really matters for me genuine information that's why I often use coindoo which is not much popular site but provides good information about cryptocurrency projects.

Like most of them said, this forum is a good source of latest and freshest news about various token launch. And to be more specific, go to Announcements (Altcoins). There you go Cheesy.

Hmm you can also try to subscribe in subreddits. Actually I think I saw a new token on /rCryptoMarket as I browse my news feed but I can't remember when. Well, better to see it for yourself. Good luck.

I used ICO/IEO tracking websites like coingecko, icobench and icodrops, for news about crypto I use cointelegraph and through app I use pivot which rewards you for reading news and referring your friends but the best tracker to me is blockfolio

I personally am not very active on any of the ICO ranking sites, it's just that I use this forum site and coinmarcetcap. especially about bounty projects and coin data, trading volume and coin price on the CMC / Coingecko website. These are the three sites that I use every day.
These sites already loaded with information. Some ico rating sites are hard pinned shillers of scam projects and paid ones. Its good if we learn to avoid those ico sites cause they are just getting money from the project to provide a good ratings.

But icodrops are very consistent on giving news on their channel the only one i retained and follow.

It's an easy way to make money if someone trades based on different event I think. But when I got the news, I can not entry at early point. So, which site do you use to get event update of different projects? Is there any app which can notify you before 15 days of an event? I would like to get all the possible ways to get such event update. Please share which one do you use.

I use Blockfolio that has a news section with "signals" and updates about the main projects that you decide to follow and I use coindreams for the airdrop/giveaway news. For other info I usually follow some telegram groups/channels when admins post the main informations

I think your best bet would be this forum. Almost all projects will have an announcement thread over here. They keep on updating the thread with all kinds of upcoming events. You can add the thread to your watch list. Though remember, all those project investment comes with huge risks. Most of them end up dying or are just here to scam.
But one thing, if you do keep yourself updated, you can exit and secure most of your investment before you lose anything. Keeping yourself updated will let your spot any red flag as soon as possible. The forum users are quick to spot scams Wink.

As they suggested earlier posts, I always visit these sites every day even though I'm not in trading.

-Cointelegraph
-Coindesk
-Coin Market Cap

These 3 are the most important reference for me, it gives a lot informations when it comes if there is events. But I'm not sure if they will able to broadcast events of trading, I guess it is only related to sports events.

Aside from coinmarketcal another better option is https://kryptocal.com/ you can get updates from several projects there. If you want to be notified on coinmarketcal they have telegram and twitter bot just turn on notification and it's ready. I also find https://t.me/cryptodiffer helpful with their unique news and update, they are also promoting new projects but be careful always DYOR.

I dont think it is smart to make decision on most of the site posted here, most of them are bias and influenced. You should start your research from the project website, social media and other handle. It is also important to look for the right information and find out how to get the true information. Scammers are better at there game and some project may not deliver in short term but every trader must know the important fundamentals to work with any project.

As a crypto trader I use some websites to collect any news or coin movement. Based on those new I usually do some trades and try to gain some profits. The websites that I visit most are the coinmarketcap.com and also coinmarketcal.com. These are my main websites to gather news about any coin and see their price.

https://cointelegraph.com/press-releases is also a greatplace to know the recent media newses for coins.

To get periodical updates on projects, I use blockfolio to keep tab of the projects I hold and know what's going on with the project development. I'm not really sure, if they're the best at it, but I know there's always something new to know about most projects. There are several platforms where one could keep tab and all social media handles of the project could be a starting point.

The only way for you to be always up to date Is to keep an eye on the twitter accounts of each altcoin, I know it is a very tough task because there are thousands of altcoins that exist but this is the only way, there has this site: https://coinscalendar.com and this https://www.coinevents.co/

but always look at altcoin's twitter accounts to confirm

https://cointelegraph.com/press-releases

That website is getting the most recent projects so if you want to follow them, most of those new projects or events are likely to publish it to sites like Cointelegraph for its press release.
Yes I often check this site for new projects and incoming events.
Aside from that twitter and telegram are a reliable source too if you want to become updated for the events or happenings of the particular project that you're following.
Twitter is also one place to get most updates.

I often see people sharing tweets for updates regarding questions and news about new projects so, it's also one of the good place to expand knowledge and ideas about projects.

I'm might be old, but I simply following projects twitter account and read all the updates.
Single tweet is just 280 character long text. Enough to post everything new and useful. Easy to read and to sort what is really worth reading and what could be skipped. No need to spend hours scrolling through wall of text searching for just a single line worth information.

Ive just type "news on cryptocurrency and blockchain" of course yhere will be a lot of pop up sites but the technique there is compared the news from its authenticity. In that way we can avoid such fake ones. But like everyone said. Choose only known and trusted publishers.

For me the best are coindesk and coinmarketcal. But Im also reading bloomberg and forbes soemtimes.

I have been using the "Cryptocurrency calendar" in my work for a long time https://coindar.org/. I see that this site has not been mentioned in the topic before. In my opinion, this is exactly what you were looking for) This service contains the main announcements of events that should happen in the coming days and months.

To get updates about project events I usually use coinmarketcal and https://cointelegraph.com/press-releases besides that I also search for information on several social media channels

coinmarketcal or you mean coinmarketcap ?  . cointelegraph is more on a general side and not specific for crypto coins but if we want to be specific and want only updates on the coin we hold , its best that we follow them on telegram , discord , twitter and on thier other pages and groups  .

thats the way we can get faster updates compare to news sites   . never tried getting updates on cmc but i only check the ranks and the price of my coins on this site  .

That's the essence of swing trading/day trading. Flipping whenever there is a signal. There's a 50.5k subscriber on that whalebot and it is some kind of self fulfilling prophecy. The tendency of dumping/pumping once they see big transaction signal is high. I highly recommend using it for short trading and not for long term trading. And also the bot is just mentioning huge amount including what you mention. It's up to the trader to interpret and that's not the bot fault.
We're talking about the news topic, not a trading strategy.

Using whalebot was a ridiculously option, there will be always a high transaction but you are still doesn't know for what's that transaction. That's why not really recommended seeing this kind of bot for price action enter/out, talking about 50.5k subscriber? then not really surprise why we have around 90% of trader always lose the trade when they really panic just because see a move transaction.

That's why I mention cryptopanic for long term holders. Short trading is a bit different, There's only few news that pop every minutes or hourly that can affect trading. Of course it will be incorporated with an Hourly Timeframe TA to confirm whether this big transaction will support the TA. I never said to depends solely on the big transaction when doing swing trading. And I believe you are describing uneducated trader.

Like when using MACD, if the indicator showing that there will be a crossover of the 2 moving average then you see a  big transaction move to exchange which support your indicator. Whales are very smart and always using TA. With that being said. You can predict what might happened next.

And I believe you should try to revisit again whalebot on telegram. They are not the same as before.

OP isn't looking for such app. There are coin calendar which shares all the events from different projects like change to mainnet, partnership, listing etc which can cause a short term price pump.

If Im not mistaken  blockfolio have this option which you can see  latest news update of every project . no idea if you need to add the currency first  in your portfolio before you can see the updates but its working for me before.
You will also be notify if there are latest news they give in that application other than tracking your currency.

I think Twitter is a quick source and means of information after telegram, all you have to do is follow all projects you have invested in and set alerts for their tweets, while also joining their telegram channels with alerts on.

It helps you to get first hand information about the project, if you are the type that likes gist and rumors news, you can join normal crypto channels on telegram and also follow them on Twitter

Announcement section is the place you need to watch if you are interested in knowing every projects and their upcoming events, I don't think famoust crypto websites are not going to report each and every shitcoin's event maybe via coinmarketcap is possible but also not every project is going to meet the criteria of coinmarketcap.

The two sites I visit every few minutes for update are bitcointalk forum...
Of course btt, but all the crypto news are posted first on sites like cointelegraph for example, before users update users on the forum about it, and op is looking for news, events and updates to trade on and timing is very important. If op waits to get news about events on the forum, it will be late to trade based on the event.

Op I use cointelegraph and some of the other sites mentioned above already, you should be careful if you're going to trade on events posted on these sites, they are false sometimes and can be overhyped as well, which can forlead you.

The most site that provides updates about projects does not have features that make you get a notification anytime a new project shows up so you will need to be checking manually just like the old days when bounty hunting is still lucrative and profitable, bounty section used to be most viewed. While many ICO project site has lost their integrity, Cointelegraph has a press release link that gives an update about new and existing project. you can also subscribe to their digest https://cointelegraph.com/press-releases

Nah the bots or this service was shit, they just put a random transaction without knowing the fund from where. One of the example, the bot reacted to a big transaction from bittrex send their asset to the coldwallets. Imagine, using this service for taking some news everyone just can be panicked because the bot share some post about these when the post was not really important.

Though both of them are not actually a news sites, bitcointalk do have good discussion, mostly outdated but they give a bigger picture. On the other hand I check CMC for prices but going into a currency's social section, I visit their social section and go to twitter or reddit if I found and useful content. Reddit generally has quicker updates on things.

Same here mate . Bitcointalk forum  pages itself is having huge no.of projects coming up day by day. Some are hits but some are scams . Choose your projects wisely by doing due diligence if possible .

I usually used https://cryptopanic.com/ for any crypto news or big event. The website gather all news in different crypto news platform like cointelegraph, coindesk and other news site. They also includes some Technical Analysis from expert so there website is very useful to me especially in my trading because I can easily get a lead to any upcoming major events in crypto compared when you visit on single news site as reference, They can't cover all the news happening in crypto space.

But if you are a day trader maybe you should subscribe on @whalebotalerts on telegram(https://t.me/whalebotalerts). The bots post any big amount of token movement from wallet or exchange.
