Why don't you choose both? If you have little money then no need to care about anything, you will lose anyway. Fork is for whales.

You are right,
Even for not a newbie, a choice may be confusing.

Separate the investment,
You diferentiate the risk,
It a good speculation advise

it's all depend on the trader themself,
but for me if i have more than 1BTC i prefer to get a free coin from the split instead of buying an alts right now,
indeed right now every alts is underwater, but that does not mean it'll go higher whenever we see Bitcoin price is decreasing.
so the best and the safest way to get profit is from the airdrop.
right now everything is very unclear and you can see a lot of thing that move unpredictable or we called it manipulated

I am a real newbie,
I read alots here and I am curios about next direction.

I wonder other peoples here which way to speculate:
Choosing to have a free BTC forking?
Choosing to buy cheap Altcoins using your profit?

I know a bit of TA and it seems the support is too strong now
and It seems that any coins could go lower,
It would go up higher,
I am afraid to loose the moment of cheap coins or to hang a bit for lower value and having forking?

hey, welcome to the crypto world! My suggestions to new players in this field who want to make a profit out of all these coins is always "not to follow the market". What I mean by that is that you shouldn't try to buy/sell depending on "news" and on "announcements" or "updates", this is called trying to "catch waves" and it's most of the time not the best strategy. What you want to do, is research the coins that are currently available and try to find the one that you believe fits best for long term growth. Once you've done the research and are quite confident that it's a good coin, backed by a good team, then invest in it and forget about that invesment! Don't sell it and don't try to profit short-term by moving capital from Alts to BTC or vice versa, it doesn't work well and is very stressful. Just buy what you believe in and tell yourself that you will not sell for the next e.g. two years.

The bitcoin fork already happened and we are starting to see the markets adjust accordingly with bitcoin price falling and alt-coins rising, the question is will the trend continue or will it reverse, if you can answer that then you can surely make a bunch of money

It seems altcoins are really looking for its moment,
So in general these advise for newbie can be said as true sign

I ll checked it and I could also contribute to start to buy.
I dont want to miss the train
but I am not sure when to buy

Now for beginners a very good time. Buy and do not think. Even if there is another drawdown, then you will get a huge profit

Well, you know that and I was expecting the similar expectation,
I checked the chart and it seems the supports are strong on Altcoins,
You point it:
Just buy and dont think.

Damn, I ll be on the moon

Forking is already over and currently bitcoin is correcting a little bit, I think this is the perfect time to make your entry. Buy now and sell after 2-3 days when people will start to buy bitcoin for next fork on mid of November.

Talking about alts they can pump hard in next few days if bitcoin will keep swinging between $5500 and $6000.

never choose forks
its one of the ugliest thing in this market
its really useless
there are genuine projects that here for years, and they deserve more the attention and money
forks = centralized, because people with BTC only make the money ..

the "forking" is already over. it has been over for hours. the block that bitcoin gold used for their snapshot was 491,407 and now we are at block 491,486 which is 80 blocks more than the snapshot height or 14 hours!

any effect that this fork had on any price has also already happened. it actually happened a lot time ago before the fork itself! it was about 50 or 70 blocks until the fork when the price fall started and ended near the fork and price went back to normal afterwards.

and it is always like this. the effects always start before the events not during and not after. by that time everything is already over!
