a giveaway or a free raffle is actually easy to do. you need to consider the following aspects:
  • the prize that can be won
  • number of spots (if it should be a fast free raffle then the spot selection between 0-9 and a-f or if it should last over a few days then from 00-99)
  • rules to be followed (e.g. newbies are excluded, shipping costs paid by the winner, ...)
  • the announcement of the BTC-block by which the winner (by using the hash) will be determined (announcement only when all spots are occupied)

i have already organized several free raffles - at the moment there is another one going on, where the winner will be determined soon... Smiley

I like Bitmover methodology this is quite easy and interesting @Crypto Library you can use this methodology. When are you doing the giveaway?  I think the giveaway must be Bitcoin, looking forward to it Smiley
By the way congratulations to getting a great rank
I am also thinking about that it is more easy to understand and using.  Actually I thought I will give the giveaway today but my semester final is on going, so now  I am thinking it will be good for me if I give it on 27th after the last exam.  Wink
And you are welcomed buddy
A giveaway is something that someone give it to accomplish a task or to gain people's attention on him/her or to give something for a high level of happiness. But I still don't know the main reason for what you actually give the giveaway.  But for whatever reason, I pray that your purpose may be fulfilled. and the method you chose to select the winner is appreciated

I've never done a giveaway so I don't know much about it. I recently got rank up so thought I'd share some joy with the forum members, so I'd like to give away some btc treats as a giveaway. And since I have never given a giveaway, I would like to know from you which methods would be the easiest for me to use?

To add to the above mentioned tools/ideas, you can also consider two ideas that, while may not be as easy as using the tools and aren't new to experienced users of the forum, also end up working to select winners to a specific prize:

  • Make a themed event where you'll give the award (let's say, for example, BTC) to a user whose submissions is the best one (according to some criteria). This has happened in the past - for example with theymos art competition[1] or even pumpkin carving contest[2]. You can see that you can get outstanding submissions that wouldn't happen if such event hadn't occurred.
  • Make the users guess which block will be mined on X day (at Y hour) : 1miau has done that recently (with support from GazetaBitcoin) and it's always nice to see how people make the math and you'll also make users learn how the blockchain works in order to make accurate guesses!

I reckon that these suggestions are a bit more "hard" to pull off (when compared to the handsome tool made by bitmover) but they are, nonetheless, great ways to generate activity from within the forum users.

1. Select any future block. Say 780000
2. Predictor or close predictor of the last 2 digits of this block's transaction fee will be the winner.

I have stolen the idea from here- https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/champions-league-pool-ledger-nano-x-giveaway-777777-5438244

You can use LoyceV's trick- https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.17182616
You can ask for help if you don't understand the procedure.
