Obviously. My post is asking from which direction out of two possible choices should I position my PSU fan to draw air from.

Obviously you would not want to block the big fan, so putting it against the case would not be a good idea...you said it yourself drawing air from nowhere...i thought this was obvious...

Fan opening goes down, it may get the waste heat from the CPU, GPU, etc., but the volume of air it moves is enough to keep the thermals within spec.

the big fan sucks air into the psy, and it goes out the back.

Seems like this PSU will fit in the case either of two ways, one with the fan opening against the top of the case, which draws air from nowhere since its pressed against the aluminum case, or the other way with the fan opening facing the CPU HSF, which would draw hot exhaust from the CPU.

Either way, the holes for the screws line up with the case, and the PSU exhaust faces out the back of the case. I'm just not sure which way it should be drawing in the air from.
