It is a small amount, meaning that you will not lose anything if you leave it without sending, so wait until mempool became empty, tx fees decrease, and then you can send.
if you want to use small amount for buying some goods it is better to have some fast altcoins as Dogecoin, XRP, Steller ,...etc

Layer 2 solutions and other solutions do not upgrade to reach the speed of central solutions. If you trust a platform and want to trade, it is better for you to use a central platform with low fees.

Which way do you prefer to transfer eth specially for small amounts?
Geth consumes lots of disk space and is hell time consuming.
MEW transfer fee is so high for small amounts

So what are other options?
Check https://etherscan.io/gastracker to find out the fees required to make a transaction, you can wait until the gas drops so that the fee is lower

There is no actual way to transfer eth to another ethereum address due to the high gas fee especially for micro transactions so wait until the clog gets clear up or just cashout your ethereum at once and then move to other cheap coins like Tron and Doge.

Berlin hardfork did nothing to the gas fee!

Eth high gas fee can't be escaped, there is no other way around it unless the project switch to BSC, as for me I only transact ETH when I can afford for the gas fee or when the ETH is very much

For now, you have to deal with the high gas fees as there is a major demand in Ethereum network.

Binance Smart Chain(BSC) solves this problem. Simply a basic movements clients get the entrance less expensive exchange charges. This is why the vast majority of users getting attracted over this platform. You simply need to utilize the Binance Bridge. More to know: https://defiprime.com/binance-smart-chain

You seem to be confusing wallets with fees.

Coming to wallets first, Geth is not recommended as wallet, Mist wallet has been deprecated some time back and currently the best wallets for ethereum is MEW with Metamask addon on the browser, or an Android wallet like Trust Wallet.

See these wallets are not the ones determining your fees. That depends on the congestion of the network since many people are trying to get their transactions confirmed, the load on the network is currently high and therefore to skip the line, you need to pay a higher fee to confirm your transaction quickly. You can change the fee that you pay on MEW but that would not be recommended.

Sucks but true, this problem is something inherent with ethereum currently. You can use the Binance Smart Chain to transfer but please read about it first before using it.

I use metamask in transferring Eth but I do look at the internet and find this article interesting. It stated about the use of the ETH second layer and features Polygon[matic].  You can also try and use Binance smart Chain in transferring your ETH.

The Binance Bridge Project aims to increase interoperability between different blockchains. It lets anyone convert their crypto assets into (and back from) Binance Chain and Binance Smart Chain wrapped tokens. ... Well, this way, you can use your BTC, ETH, USDT, or other assets in Binance Smart Chain (BSC) DApps.
Is not it relate to the MATIC? I think that solution is not related to ethereum. You will need to conduct a transaction to be able to convert your ethereum into the wrapped BSC asset.

OP you have no solution for this, if you are sending a transaction with small fees and your tx will be failed and reversed back into your wallet. You must follow the recommended fees.

You can try to use mycrypto but I think that the high fees on ethereum network can't be avoided even you were adjusting your tx fees.

Personally, if in exchange for mew or metamask, I will use FTX exchange to send eth because the fee is around 0.001 to 0.0025 eth. But, if it's from mew or metamask, I think there is no other way but to wait for the gas to decrease to reduce the high fee.

In my opinion, one of the best options is now not to conduct transactions at all on the ethereum network with small amounts. It is advisable to wait until July when transaction fees on this network should return to normal. However, if absolutely necessary, some advise to do it at night, when the load on the network decreases and the transaction fees fall.
So far, I conduct transactions on the ethereum network very rarely and only with large amounts, when this does not really affect the total amount. In addition, we are still waiting for the altcoin season after the relative stabilization of the bitcoin price. You need to wait a bit for this problem to disappear.
