There might be a lot of factors why Satoshi took 2 months before bitcoin was released, it could be the holiday season or could also be he is still in the process of ironing some possible flaws which he thinks might hinder the adoption of bitcoin to many.

Though these are only assumptions the mere fact it took him 2 months before bitcoin was released from the first time it was published in whitepaper still he was able to make it perfect that no one can break this type of cryptocurrency.

On the other hand, the drawing is good because I really don't have talent in drawing so much I appreciate taking time to draw and posting it on this thread.

I must agree with @ChrisBarth here. It is unlikely that holidays have been the impediment for immediate launch of the Bitcoin network. This wasn't a company or a short-term project, but a VISION to change the way we trade.

Nice drawing, though. I'm glad to see people remembering this day as more than the Halloween. I'm guilty of not remembering this day, but I might re-read the whitepaper to celebrate.  Grin
Holidays are just a good time to launch something because people have more time they can dedicate to new things. They are surfing the Internet, and they aren't too busy, so I guess it's easier to get their attention at a time like this. At least, I think that the beginning of January could be intentional. As for Halloween, it could be a coincidence and it doesn't make much sense in terms to getting attention because it's just one day, but this could be symbolic. Like the day we remind ourselves of the atrocities the banks are doing and especially those they did in 2008, and we can see a hypothetical solution to the issue.

Well, I have read it on the whitepaper but failed to remember it as well though. I also agree with Chris Barth because people during this months focuses more on the celebration of Christmas and new year where they are busy enough for shopping especially in the US black Friday is being celebrated after the thanksgiving which most of the items in the market are on sale, -- the US citizens always take advantage of it who knows perhaps Satoshi was one of them as well lol. Perhaps that is one of the reasons it took 2 months for him before he started the networking of bitcoins or we may also say that there are other things that Satoshi needed to consider first before the release of bitcoins to get smooth progress for bitcoins which we are experiencing now.

Halloween, or all hallows evening, evolved from the Celtic  Samhain festival. This marked the end of the summer, and preparation for the start of the New Year on November 1st. So much of the Elite/Banking creations seem to have associations with the old mystic festivals. Some may consider this as an indication that Satoshi was in fact one of the covens of the Elite world.

Mock if you will, but there seem to be too many of these coincidences and associations.

Thank you for bringing this up, I've never thought of this as I'm more familiar with just the Halloween so this might not be a coincidence after all and this makes Satoshi be part of a secret 'cult' or something, or perhaps he/she/they really know some background about it. With that said, maybe he is British after-all.

And with this new theory, we might see and hear new twist again adding up to what @20kevin20 have said.

Yes, it's the anniversary of Satoshi's Whitepaper and traders/investors want to commemorate it by pushing the price to $14K  Grin. Unfortunately, it didn't have the strength to hold, to weak to handle. Nevertheless, this is already an achievement. No one thought that bitcoin or crypto can exist, but Satoshi's invention change the course of history.

@Baofeng, - David Hasselhoff completely trolling us but claiming he is Satoshi, Lol. I do hope those celebrities are already in the bandwagon.

It's a pretty plausible idea, only a few days ago I was wondering why Satoshi chose the Halloween as Bitcoin's beginning. I personally think it's quite silly to completely disagree with a plausible idea about Satoshi's origins as we have just no idea about his identity besides the way he writes and active times on the forum.

Around the 3rd of January, the Earth is at the closest point to the Sun as well. These things are quite interesting, although lots of people think they're BS. The Elite surely do follow their meanings - most of the important dates, buildings etc have a specific meaning in numerology and it almost always links up. Smiley

Exactly! These dates as I believe are not coincidences. There's some sort of reason and connection behind it. He could have started off in 2008 at once but no, he took it down to 2009 and this to me proves that most / all of his move were fully calculated.

I'm not here yet during the time when satoshi publicized the whitepaper.  When it first started as far as I know there were only few believer of BTC but are pretty much thinking of development after understanding the whole project. Some only thinks the date of release has something to do with the 2008 recession.

That's interesting. It must be part of the investigation that's done to track Satoshi.

I don't think so that the people will have the interest to read the whitepapers even though Mr. Satoshi Nakamoto post it in the date of October 31st and based on my experience it is a holidays where many people are celebrating the all soul's and all saint's day that time, and I don't think there will be an effect if the people will read the whitepaper because I guess they also don't know that this project might go long term. That's probably the mindset of Satoshi Nakamoto while doing this.

Do you think it would have an effect on Bitcoin if it started when the white paper was released?
I think most people would still ignore it and some of those who didn't would be busy on holidays so the chance are it could really have an effect even if the project was for a long term.
And I think it was what Satoshi was thinking back then nobody knows that it would survive for long.

Above is the image that isn't visible in the OP

I don't get your thoughts properly. Satoshi published the white paper on October 31, and to get the attention of people he waited for two months. In between it was halloween, Christmas and New Year which won't let people have a complete focus towards the network. This might be a reason, but the reality might be different. He itself knew it isn't easy to reach the public in a short, because he never intended to promote it through advertising or other means.

While we're on Halloween, 🎃, bitcoin enthusiast like us have decided to celebrate this day in which the bitcoin white paper was published ("A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System"). I read an article in which there was a point on why Satoshi Nakamoto decided to publish the white paper on the 31st of October and waited a for 2 more months before starting the network (in 2009). According to the article, it was probably because during festive periods like now, most people are more concerned about Halloween, and mostly Christmas. Considering that this can is a distraction, it seemed to be a reason why the white paper was published on 31st October 2008 and then started the network on 3rd January.

This drawing won't show 👆 don't know why.

Don't mind the imperfection tho.

BTW, that's how I celebrate such a day. If you're really a bitcoin enthusiast, How do you celebrate yours?
