Russia anc Belarus are  much better countries than poor America which is just creating wars in whole world and i dont like because of that america and because they work to destroy own alliances.I hate Nato and i hate EU ans i hate america.
For individuals not much difference, Americans, Europeans and Russians citizens don't have any voice in the politic system.

Belarus is not a bad country according to me. Better a military dictatorship than an unstable regime with many problems. I know some people coming from there, and that's true that the economy is their worst point.

Do they still have a state or was is taken over by the Kremlin? LoL this is the real Russia the Kremlin and the RT and others don't want you to talk about...

Poroshenko is President in Ukraine, results:

  • citizens are killing each other
  • loss of territory
  • bad relations with Russia
  • economic damage
  • commercial airline shot

I don't know about you but I'd rather live in Belarus than Ukraine right now  Cheesy

As for Lukashenko, he's a sly fox (today, for example, he got 2 S-400 systems from Russia - free of charge). He's trying to get the most out of both Russia and EU/West. Let's just hope that he does not fall between two chairs like Yanukovich did...

Lukashenko cares about his own people, unlike the idiots in Ukraine and Russia, who only cares about their own family and the oligarchs. After the disintegration of the USSR, the death rate in the Russian and Ukrainian oblasts bordering Belarus rose to an astounding 25 per 1,000, while in Belarus, the death rate remained stable. And there will be a natural population growth this year in Belarus, despite 99.9% of the population being native.

Ahah! I will check your demographic assertion on Belarus... On russia, Syria is a good proof of the actuality of your comment, sadly. Russia could do so much better.

And to think that 60% of the fallout from Chernobyl fell on Belarus - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chernobyl_disaster.

Cool

The Soviet design was mox free at least... Curious to know if there are studies on dna damages on the population... It should be almost two generations...Lot of very important data to research there.

What saddens me, are the comments about Belorussia, like the ones above.

I spent a week in Belorussia a month ago. In Minsk and surroundings. A clean, orderly, friendly place. People are open and can often come with some critical remarks (saying more as a Russian to a Russian, than they would probably say to a Westerner). It's been a long time since I felt as safe as I did there. You can walk the streets of Misnk by night. The streets are clean, the roads are in tip-top shape. Shops are filled with food. Construction activity is visible in many place (Minsk is building the third Metro line, btw).

I'm writing down some of my travelling impressions now....

Belarus is developing to a 3rd world country right now.
I have some students from belarus and what picture they draw from there is just sad.

They have a dictatorship similiar to north korea just with better economy.
But through falling oil prices it seems a economic melt down started which is increased by bad economic infrastructure.

Well russia is much better overall in comparison but they too have rather large economic problems mainly because of the low oil price and the ukranian conflict + syria crisis which cost a lot of money.

Sad to read how a country can plunge to chaos... Meanwhile a few apparatchiks make out like bandits... like Putin and his friends like to say the dictator of Belarus bring stability. Without him it would be chaos. However if snap election occurs that some will want to be annexed by Russia they will be welcomed or did Putin agents took control of the country? I read that the dictator in Belarus was complaining recently to be only a puppet for the Kremlin.
