If you already announce it's your second account, why not just create the account using your own IP address? As far as I understand you can use it through TOR after you have created it from your own IP.
Your privacy is gone already when you started this topic, so why not just create another account.

BTW, I didn't know about the evil points. Learn something new every day!
Well, nope, I want everyone to know that I am MaryJane-Watson but nothing else.
I just want to keep anonymous and I don't want anyone to know where I am or something else.
Well, hiding my IP is no crime I guess.

Another point: When I first signed up, I did so with Tor (no real IP)

Hence the suggestion to try again. Not all exit nodes are this expensive.

And tor unfortunately has a lot of bad traffic going through it, I can remember when I thought it was great.... but now i just see it as slow.   I just connect direct i'm not worried about mod's having my IP.  I'm not doing anything illegal.

OP you can keep trying to go from node to node and hope to find a better one.  Or you might try a different service such as decent VPS or use some other proxy's.  You should be able to sign up with much less on cost.

It is a good system though as it makes it where spammers/scammers cannot sit on same IP and post utter crap posts.
Tor isn't certainly slow for me.

Why should OP have to "try again"?

No one is forcing OP, it was just a suggestion.

He made a account already. What if this username has some kind of significance? If OP can just "keep trying" until he does not need to pay a fee using TOR, then why not just let him use the username that he made the first time?

Sure, easy.

#1 pay (is apparently no choice for OP)
#2 hope someone vouches for you to get whitelisted. (does not seem to happen either)
And yes, #1 is not a choice for me.
I think I should try making another account with the nickname "MJ2-Watson" and try and try again.
Let's see how many accounts I do have to create with a single e-mail.

STOP IT.
False, Tor's exit node can be changed via the ControlPort (directive set in torrc).
In TBB, (Idk if you are dumb) you have a place to change your circuit (the chain used to convey) which can be used to change exit nodes.
Well well.
So, the mods have proven to me that anonymity has a price tag on it.

Well, so
I don't see why OP should have to pay $80 to start posting
or create an account using a different onion node.

and there is clearly a problem with the system.
Not really.

You are not very helpful and are very arrogant.
You can tell that from a one line post?
I see, so I've to create 6200 alts to get 1 that correctly works?
Reason:
When you register, the IP that you used when you submitted the registration form is used to calculate your evilness. The more frequently this IP or its neighbors were banned, the more evil is associated with your account. The amount of evil associated with an IP decays slowly over time, but the amount of evil associated with an account does not. You must pay or be manually whitelisted to enable posting on one of these "banned" accounts.

Here are some stats:

Evil% new users
053
0-135
1-104.4
10-200.80
20-502.2
50-1001.3
100+2.9

Currently each unit of evil requires a payment of 4023 satoshi. You only need to pay something if you have 1 or more, though.
So, the units of evil is calculated from the IP I used to create that account.
Current number of Tor exit nodes are currently 3000-6000. And so I have to create 3000 accounts to get a working alt.
I see.....
Care answering if I need to atleast try 3000 alt. accounts before getting one?

Use a different node while creating the account or a VPN. Problem solved.

Where will the money I give go? For usefullness or the owner (theymos).
It goes to the forum.

That is not a solution. The system is not intended for people to pay that much money. It is intended to stop people from registering large amounts of accounts that contribute to spam.

You cannot choose which exit node you use when you use TOR properly. The exit node used is random and changes every 10 minutes in order to ensure anonymity.

Who made you a moderator? You are not very helpful and are very arrogant.

I don't see why OP should have to pay $80 to start posting, and there is clearly a problem with the system.

Why are you hiding behind a alt I suspect?  But Lauda helps in a pretty good amount of meta threads I read.... so I would consider that helpful.

You cant bash the moderator as you don't like solution.   This system is good.... if a VPN/Tor node is used for lots of bad things it charges the maker to create it, and the amount grows.  This makes it where if spam comes from one IP the more spam... the higher the price.  It helps make it where a spammer can't sit on one IP and keep posting to board.

So:
OP either pay the amount or create an account using a different onion node.

Is actually good info.  OP can pay it if it's that important to get the alt there.  Or keep trying different nodes.  Or could go without a VPN/Tor and sign up with his real IP and chances are zero problems and no payment required.

No, it is intended to stop those that already spammed and got banned to create more accounts.

No one asked to choose a specific exit node, but to use a different one. Which is why there is a "New circuit for this site" button.

Btw, whitelisting happens. I remember that I asked BadBear for a whitelist once and it was granted. I dont know why or under which terms this is done though.

They can't . Those IP addresses had performed some bad deeds. So if you want to create another account, then do it via your regular connection or if you insist on hiding your ip, then use a vpn instead. Many scammers have used TOR to register accounts to scam so most of the ip's are blacklisted.
Mods do have the ability to whitelist an account if the original account holder is reputable or has been noted to be helpful for the community. Quite rare though, someone getting whitelisted

Another small correction is you get evil points for spamming, not scamming

Yeah, bad deeds. My bad  Wink

Well, I've just registered a alt (is it allowed tho?) of mine.
Because it's from Tor the system directly asked me (and said that I'm evil) to pay 0.20885908 bitcoins which currently equals to 86.60$ (in preev).
Can some mod whitelist me please?  Huh Huh Huh
The name's MaryJane-Watson
