Many faucets like Moonbitco.in and Freebitco.in are legit, in fact most faucets that you will come across are legit and intend to pay, especially those on faucet rotators, so I'm not sure what you mean by them all being liars (they tell you exactly how much Bitcoin you're going to earn in satoshi). You can't expect anyone to give out a large amount of Bitcoin for free or anything which will earn you a living or anything, but they're OK.
