VR is really is great innovation of our future. I expect more games in VR even in a movie in VR. Imagine you can explore the movie in VR. I just hope it will not damage our eyes.

well the playstation vr has one 1080p screen for both. it sounds like a lot of people are bothered by the lack of resolution but quickly forget about it when they sink into game. it seems there are lots of ways to work around the limitations like color management.

i've read that 16k per eye is when it becomes absolutely perfect. that's something like 200x more pixels so we've got some time to wait.

From what I've researched, the resolution seems pretty high. 1080p per eye.

It would be interesting to check out, but I'm more interested in how a movie would look and not games.

you can do that with most of them by the looks of things, but none of them have great resolution so you may as well sit in the dark with an hd tv or projector instead. I guess it would be useful if someone wanted to watch something else.

i'm starting to get the impression from reviews and impressions and stuff that it might be worth waiting another generation but I think I might crack long before that.

Any "views" on this ?  Cheesy

I seen a story on Microsoft's Hololens thingy 2 days ago..
They are shipping in Europe and some regions will be paying over $4,700 for it.
I also seen complaints about the FOV with them.. no idea what that is about.
The defense was they are dev units basically and public models will not be properly ready for another year.
Further more there is next to nothing for applications for them as MS said.
They said they hope to some made eventually.

So ya.. not sure it sounds too enticing to me at this point.

Buying into the tech ? Do heavy research first Wink

I've got a serious desire to get into vr. it might not be a1 yet, but it looks good enough to me.

who here is into it and what system are you using? how immersive is it for you? my computer isn't quite powerful enough so if I did go for it it would be ps4. any views on this?
