It is mostly everyone or the new investors who bought at prices higher than $10k they was surely a rumour markets might crash on Christmas. This seemed planned the whales simply wanted to create panic and they surely did that the price only fell by $2k but this enough to cause panic and that is what happened finally happened.
It was short lived but don't be disappointed this sale might return before new year.
