Poloniex is OK and safe, especially when working near btc and other altcoin..
only remark is waiting time for approval withdraw transaction. last time >15h

Poloniex is not safe and ok. Many transactions "disappear" and the support doesn't answer for months.
I sent a couple of ether to Poloniex, never arrived in account although in etherscan its a perfectly fine transaction to the correct address with more than thousand positive confirmations. Poloniex doesn't let me access my own funds.

Talked about that on twitter, many people DM'd me with the same issue. Actually, it is just a matter of time until they also take money from you without any reason. Good luck

I have deposits that go MIA as well.

You need to open up a support ticket with them and they fix it fairly fast.

Poloniex is relatively safe, as long as you don't store too many coins on there at any given time. Then again, storing coins there has more to do with customers being lazy, rather than the exchange being usnafe Smiley

but poloniex the best exchanger in addition
Bittrex and C-CEX.

i agree i prefer Bittrex since Poloniex started asking for personal information in order to let you trade there.

but C-Cex is nowhere near those two exchangers! its daily volume is extremely low, you can check it on http://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/
it is number #41 (6K USD) while Poloniex and Bittrex are #9(600K USD) and #17 (150K USD)

AFAIK, exchange with poloniex is safe. I'd never faced any problem there. I'm using poloniex since April 2015 Smiley

Is it safe to list coin there?

They have been hacked once before and lost a little over 10% of all their users BTC.

They have since paid it back (without interest I believe.)

I use them for CLAM/FLO.

Poloniex has been hacked in the past, but they were transparent about it and returned the coins to the owner and still are operating, unlike other exchanges

who is the owner of poloniex ?
is it safe exchange ?

It depends on your definition of 'safe' I guess. A lot of people considered several now defunct exchages as safe in the past.

Hence those people now most likely live by the rule if you dont control the private key you dont own the bitcoin.

Having said that I myself use Poloniex but never leave much sitting there. Its quick trades in and out type of situation.

According to http://whois.domaintools.com/poloniex.com  poloniex is owned by Tristan D'Agosta. I think that they are a safe exchange since they have obtained a bit license from state of New York.

Really? The last I heard they were not accepting New York customers because they didn't want to apply for the Bit License.

In accordance w/ NY's Bitlicense, NY residents will no longer be able to trade on our platform starting on 8/8/15. Contact support for help.

I too think they are safe and trade there myself, but let's stick to verifiable facts.
