Which is your address among all those addresses? Looks like a free tip as many addresses received 0.01 to 0.0008. You must have participated in some giveaway or contest that paid you. It doesn't look like a mistake.

As others have said, there's really no way to find out who it came from if it wasn't a payment you expected.

The only way it seems is to identify all the places you've used the receiving address. This is also why it is recommended to use addresses as a tx identifier, rather than as a receiving account. If you use unique addresses for each tx, then you always know where the coins are coming from (or at least you know who has it).

You could try to find out if any of the input addresses are linked to any identities. Googled them all and no results, though.

Maybe its from contracts that pay automaticly out?
You also could do a research at your wallet history .

You haven't had other transactions in the past from his address? Maybe google the senders address and see what you may find?

So I received a BTC payment at my Coinbase wallet but I don't know where it came from (yes, I receive payments from many places and try to keep track of most).

On my Coinbase I get this transaction link: https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/tx/5bbb8f07c8e2f575b140e2d0492bbfb988a1b780be8f8f409bab23d2b02ff0d7/

Can anyone help me understand?

Thanks
Its impossible to know such thing on whos the one who gave you that free bitcoin. Be thankful that someone did make a mistake on putting the right address the amount might  not be much but its still money.
This kind of situations do really happen on this bitcoin world that's why we should really be careful on pasting addresses since transactions are irreversible.

There's really no way to find out unless you're able to link those specific addresses to a person / identity. someone probably made a mistake and copy + pasted the wrong address or something, leaving you with free money.

Someone probably put in an address wrong if you werent expecting the transaction.
As there are three inputs, you could try to search them on Google. Or just be happy with the btc you've now gained if no one claims them.
