After careful consideration, we have made the decision to discontinue support for EUR₮. As such, Tether has ceased minting EUR₮, with the last acquisition request processed in 2022, and new EUR₮ issuance requests are no longer accepted.

Tether customers holding EUR₮ on all blockchains should redeem their holdings within one year ending on November 27th, 2025.  If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Support team here.

This appears to be the link the article was based on.

I didn't know there was a EUR₮ and I thought most would prefer gold or the dollar as a stable currency. Grin Grin

seen this news in CMC as well and yeah I think they needs to be corrected.

some other media even going as far as saying that Tether doesn't support EURT due to regulation, which I think is also wrong.
pretty sure tether just want to reallocate resources to the network that actually have volume.

I hope they will be reading this. Or did I get it wrong?

This is from Cointelegraph:
Tether discontinues support for euro-pegged stablecoin EURt
Tether has asked EURt holders to redeem tokens within one year, ending on Nov. 25, 2025, as the company decided to discontinue the stablecoin.

But it is wrong if you check the link from Tether. Tether is not ending support for EURT but ending support for both USDT and EURT on Omni, Kusama, SLP, EOS and Algorand starting on September 1, 2025.

There are still other networks that they are not ending support.
