Demo accounts are useful for new traders mostly and users who are engaged in real trading also if they have good trading strategies how could they have time to engage themselves in the demo account? Because when someone enters real trading he has to know about the methods and more upcoming strategies and the way he has to face problems, these all things should be kept in mind. But every trader should have own choice.

Then he only has time to invest that in real trading. Although still those users who are much experienced in the trading may be have some demo account through which they teach some users to trade in different ways.
I agree with what you said, that most of those who are new to trading of course they have to try first on a demo account so that they can understand more about the trading they are going to do because if they don't understand trading well and immediately try to trade with money Of course they will experience failure in their trading.

Those who have a good understanding of trading certainly have a different way from others in teaching new users how to trade and they will also find it very easy to explain to new users about trading with the experience they have.

See professional traders make use of demo account to test new strategy and also for back testing of their trading chart meanwhile newbies mostly use it for the purpose of learning and getting aquinted with the trading platforms
That's the main purpose of it, they are for demos and testing to see if the strategies a trader has is going to work.
And there's no risk on it but don't think that if it works there, it's going to be instantly effective on it when you do the actual with real money.
It doesn't go like that usually so expect some surprises.

I don't think professional trader need demo account any more. Demo account is just for newbies who don't know how to trade and what risk poses by each trade. He will learn the basics of trading and then go for real trade to become pro trader and once become pro trader then as tvplus006 said they will enter small money to check any strategy because demo results is not as good as playing with real money.
It is still for everyone. If there are pro traders that do that, it's common that they're testing it and will apply it eventually to real money.
There could be times that small amounts won't do it but there are other traders that don't want to spend any penny testing some experiments.
But then yeah, it's like that you've said they can do that with small amounts but it also happens that some don't want to spend for tests.

...Before putting money into our new strategy, we can let it run for a few weeks in our demo accounts and see how well it performs. Also, in the demo accounts we can make small changes to our strategies without paying transaction fees directly. For me demo accounts are a free tool that I try to use as much as possible.

There is no point in returning to the demo account again to test a new strategy, since it can be done much more effectively on a real account with a small amount of money. And in this case, if your testing is correct, you just need to increase the amount of the bargain.
and also it gives more authentic feeling towards the market instead of some demo account where we used some fake money and certainly the emotion felt would be different and if its emotion that we are talking about then im almost certain that its the one thing that sometime could be the decisive factor on whether we gonna make money or not.
i also always trying to test my strategy with some small money just to test the water and see whether the strategy is good enough for me to put in more and more capital in it and see some flaws before hands.

At one time I was new in trading and when I was new I did not use any demo account in trading I directly used main account and tried to trade with main account. As I don't have any experience using demo account, I can't say how demo account actually works and how long it lasts and how to manage it. There is no rule for beginners to use a demo account so I don't want to go through this trouble because if I used a demo account I would have to create a main account again. I don't feel the need to use the demo account as it is possible to work with the main account.
There are some advantages of using a demo account that if someone does not understand anything about trading or has no idea about the market relationship, there is no possibility of any financial loss if he trades through the demo account.  So there he can practice trading as he wishes. And when he realizes that it is possible for him to trade and avoid losses, he can trade with real money in the main account.
but i would advise not to immediately put some big money into the trades after trying out demo account because thing can be a whole lot different, you know the tension of using fake $1000 money and rea $1000 money is really different even more so when we don't really have much money in the first place.

There is no restriction to who can own a Demo trading account, a new trader or an expert trader. I know many traders may feel like they are now bigger than demo accounts, and only new traders should have demo accounts for demo trades, but I think that to avoid losses still, expert traders should also have demo accounts for trying out new strategies before they try it live. What do you think?

Do you as an experienced trader that has made profit from the market repeatedly, do you still have a demo account for trying out new strategies?

Yes, I still have a demo account and use it from time to time to check strategies and also have a live watchlist. Demo accounts are free and in my opinion everybody should use them to get better at trading. When developing new strategies and trying out new ideas we tend to focus on past data and analyse it as much possible. Finding the best possible strategy for historic data is good, but it's no guarantee that the future prices are going to follow the same pattern. When testing new ideas, I would recommend to have some historic data test and also some live testing in a demo account. Before putting money into our new strategy, we can let it run for a few weeks in our demo accounts and see how well it performs. Also, in the demo accounts we can make small changes to our strategies without paying transaction fees directly. For me demo accounts are a free tool that I try to use as much as possible.

Demo account has no user restrictions hence anyone can own a demo account, this includes a professional and a newbie trader Thay all can own a demo account probably for different purpose hence we could see it as a free account for everyone who wishes to own one at any point in time when they do feel the need to but most often it's common with newbie traders than it is with professional traders who has got experience in trading who mostly use a live account to trade.

Yes, you are right on what you have said.Anyone could really make use of a demo account on which it is something that feature on which you could really be able to familiarize and learn up as a newbie
and having those back testing as a professional. It would really be just that depending on how you would really be making use of it but in both people who are making using it, then we do know that
emotional learning or control cant really be learnt up on this kind of dealing up considering that demo accounts does have that unlimited fund or fake money on which you can make use.
This is why on the time that you do make out some trial trades then it wont really be involving any emotions just because you arent making use of real funds.

This is why it would really be that best that you should really be able to utilize on whats the  real purpose of demo account. Yes, it could be helpful specially when you are a noob
but on the time that you do able to see that you could handle up yourself with live trading then as soon as possible you should deal off with real funds or accounts
because this is where real learning would kick in.

I believe using a demo account aims to prepare yourself to prevent from future losses in trading. But that is only on the newbie's point of view as it's like a necessity for them to use demo account before they take risk in the real scenario of trading. However, for expert traders, it could be another way around. Using demo account is not useful anymore, as they have the skills and trading experiences that they can rely to prevent and limit their losses in trading.

In the end, using a demo account is left on the individual traders if they still think it would still be helpful for them or they just have to trade directly with their real account.

Yes, I think most of the professional traders still use demo accounts for trading. The demo is not only beneficial beginners but also for the professional's ones. Mostly when beggainers start trading they are advised to use a demo account before going to live trading because of the high risk and less experience when they have experience and know about the strategies they can go to live trading, but the professionals also use demo accounts not only save the money but to develope the new strategies, testing the already existant strategy. They also use demo account to manage emotions and analyze market trends. So I think it will be not good to say that the demo account is only the beginners

A demo account may do little to help beginners gain trading experience. because I'm sure the sensation you will get when you trade with your real account and a demo account will be different. whether everyone feels it or not, but that's what I feel.
whereas for trader that are already professionals in trading, I'm not sure why they would open a demo account to start trading. they can apply their techniques and analysis directly to market conditions. they shouldn't have to.

I think a demo account is worth trying for those who are professionals when trying a new platform. and for beginners, I think it is more appropriate to study the interface of the exchange platform and the functionality of some of the existing features.

You ought to have been specific about demo account in the first place. Demo basically means "demostration of something" and in trading, it means demostrating your techniques in trading using virtual money i.e money that was never in existence, your gains and losses are just tests and would acrue anything in the end, no deposit is need and you wouldn't be able to make any withdrawals either.

There is a catch about this demo trading of a thing, demo trading specific to crypto are good because they are in real time in relationship to what is happening in the crypto market, the trades are directly link through API so that the behaviours of your trading pairs can behave like normal market, this makes you understand the crypto market and perfected it very much and make you prepare for the real trading. However, you see FX demo trading, kindly avoid them for practice, they will give you false hope and want to make you believe that you are good but deep down, you know nothing, until you try the real trading.

Though, I don't use the demo trading because I see it as a waste of time and lag me behind instead of going straight to the main market but what I did was that I only traded with a little to test my knowledge and understanding of trading.

Yes using demo account is not bad in my opinion everyone should practice well by using demo account before start trading with real money. Then his trading experience will be much better without losing any money. And if someone jumps into trading with real money without having any good trading knowledge then he has to lose a lot at first. So to minimize the possibility of loss, first it is necessary to become an expert in trading. Many people like to take risks so they don't feel the need to use a demo account. But those who prefer less risk should use demo account

Demo account is for starters for a new trading platforms but one can still use it when the platform he is using is giving him some tough times to trade again. He has to use the demo to cross check some the features of the platform. And using with demo account is good because it will guide you what will happen in the real account. Therefore demo account can be used at all time and whenever one needs to practice more trading knowledge. Demo account is always a practicing account. But another thing you have to know is that, you don't have to trade the way you used demo account because there is a different among them. Real account is faster than demo account so when trading be careful.
I've seen pro traders engaging in demo accounts, as we all know that learning never stops and we learn till the very last day of our existence on planet earth. The market is volatile and there's specifically no such thing as trading without profits, rather we hope for the best results and also engaged in good strategies that will bring the money flowing in on regular basis. Demo accounts are mostly managed by newbies in the space, they have no idea, no clue on the basis necessities, more reason they're subjected to using a demo account to learn about trading and ensure to improve in every stage they found themselves.

op I have never used a demo account myself. But I had some problems with the account I use, then my friend told me about the demo account that it is very good to use. I have not used the demo account myself, but I have a lot of faith in this account. So whoever wants can definitely use Demo account.

Trading with play money versus actual money are two totally different ballgames.  When you've got no skin in the game, it's easy to make calculated moves and stick to your strategy.  but when your hard-earned cash is at stake? The emotional rollercoaster comes into play.

Fear and greed rear their ugly heads, causing you to second-guess your every trade.  Impulses override logic.  You find yourself glued to the screens, unable to pull the trigger orcut your losses.  What once seemed like a surefire trade suddenly looks like a disaster waiting to happen.  The risks that seemed perfectly reasonable with fake money now seem reckless when real cash is in the mix.

So while paper trading can teach the technical aspects it falls short in preparing you for the psychological battleground.  There's just no substituting for the visceral experience of having your own money at risk.
Demo accounts have their virtues but without a doubt they teach us nothing when it comes to the management of our emotions and all the things that can happen when there is actual money on the line being traded, and even a regular account with a small amount of money does not teach that, as it suffers from the same problems, as even if now there is real money at risk, its amount is so low that it fails at generating those intense feelings.

If you are interested in learning the basics like how to use indicators, stop-loss, etc then having a demo account is worth it. Most of us nowadays just want to earn and not learn, hence a demo account is not ideal if you just want to make those random trades like buying meme coins and hoping for 10x.

But that said, I do feel trading with a small amount is a better idea than using a demo account because the risk and tension you will go through in real-money trades can't be matched or learned via demo trades. So it really depends what you can afford and how you want to approach trading and based on that demo account may or may not be worthy.
Demo accounts are useful, but as you state they cannot really let you experience all the stress and anxiety that comes with trading with money on the line, and it is in that step in which most people fail, as you could do everything perfectly while using a demo account as it is easy to remain calm and collected when there is no money at stake, but once you use real money things can get really hectic, which is why no one really knows if they will become a good trader, until they actually try and see for themselves if they can deal with all of that pressure.

Demo account is mainly for newbie traders with limited funds for practicing how to trade before going Live atleast to have a feel about how trading would look like in real trading, however demo trading can be a different ball game from Live trading this is based on my personal experience when I started trading, some traders who have enough funds still started live trading by funding their trading account with small funding until they became consistent in earning thereafter added more funds to their account to earn more profits, whichever away every method the major  is becoming a profitable trader.

It might seem like a nice idea to always try out new strategies using the demo account but,
As a trader that has gone live for sometime, trust yourself to have some good enough experience not to be frightful of what is in the charts and what the market throws at you, not having to trade live is hardly an option.
Every time counts and every time you are out there trading and isn’t getting the experience in the best or worst case, it often feels as though your not doing enough.
You don’t go on a demo because the loses aren’t going to come, your still sure to meet the loses when you go live. The market changes everyday. If your experience at it is good enough to have been live for sometime and remained in profit, you could as well keep up even with a new strategy.
We must also consider that even if a trader were to find a more profitable strategy this does not mean that they will be able to successfully apply it, whether this is because the strategy is too difficult to implement or because it does not suit their style, traders should do well in remembering that even if updating and optimizing their strategy may seem like the right thing to do, sometimes the best path for them is to simply keep applying the same strategy until it becomes second nature to them, instead of changing their strategy over and over again.
actually, the demo account is just to introduce the features of the exchange. Likewise, beginners can learn to apply the trading strategies they learn. demo account is for beginners only. And of course, those who have done some real trading will prefer trading on their real account.
or if you see a new exchange platform and you want to try trading there. Trying with a demo account also doesn't hurt when we want to get the difference from other exchanges.

Owning a demo account does not matter with your current position or status in trading. The fact that you want to prevent maximum losses when in real trading, then I think creating a demo account first is important. But I just want to clear out that having a demo account does not guarantee trading success, your real performance in live trading is the one that matters most.

But if you asked me regarding this demo account, I think this is not necessary at all as long as you have enough experiences trading in the market. But if you have hesitations to jump in real trading, then everyone is free to use demo account first for your own convenience.

We can think of a demo account as a training ground for us to prepare for real combat and use the same tricks and characteristics. It's true that the majority of senior traders are still actively using their other demo accounts too, without a demo account it will be quite difficult for a trader to train themselves. Trading is not an activity that can be carried out casually and easily, it requires thorough preparation for all of this, and using a demo account is quite helpful.

Owning a demo account is not limited to anyone. It can be both used and benefited by a newbie or even a pro trader, it depends on their individual"s choice. But mostly, it's the newbies that are owning demo accounts as they are still learning the process of trading, and they have to test their strategies first before they will jump into live trading.

While it can be an advantage for newbies, however it can also be useful for professional traders. Trading using demo account will try to assess your strategies and skills before conquering the real live trading, but it does not guarantee that you'll be free from losses no matter how hard you try with demo account first.

Not using a Demo trading account is considered a form of arrogance, and thus a trader will end up thinking that he understands everything about the market and suddenly loses everything. Therefore, as long as you want to trade, learn from everyone, listen to everyone, and try your plan in Demo accounts, and then you will get a better vision than investing without thinking.
There are uncertainties in cryoto trading, because of the risk of loses, therefore it is not a bad idea to have a demo account to try new experiments. Especially for newbies in trading, they need to start with demo accounts, to familiarize themselves with the outcome of readings, how easy it is to lose everything in a very short time. Although the disadvantage of demo account will be that the traders using it might not put in the seriousness required for actual trading, because even if they lose, it won't be real coins. So if a trader has to use a demo account, let him put all the mental work that real trading requires.
It is true that you could have experiments there, I do end up using my real account for real trading and investment, but when I learn about a new way to trade, I use my demo account to test the new idea and see how it goes, and depending on the results I keep trading at demo account for months sometimes, because ı want to see it working in multiple situations.

There are some that I stop very quickly, when it's obvious that it's not working, I still continue on demo to try some of them to see maybe it was wrong for the start and I did something wrong and then it will get better, but most of the methods I try that start horrible for 1 week, will stay horrible later on. But if I find something that ends up profiting for a long time, I keep trading that way on demo for months, to make sure it's good, before ı start using it at my real trading. This method rarely gets bad results, it is a great way to get rid of terrible trading methods and find some very good ones.
If ever you arent that still confident when it comes to your trading knowledge and skills then dealing up yourself with demo is never been that a bad idea. If you do make yourself that rushing up on live
without even having the knowledge even with the simplest terms and those tools then you would really be ending up on messing up your finances or simply with those trades and this is something
that you must really that avoid and as much as possible then it would be ideal on making some back test on making use of demo trades but of course you should be wary that this is really just that for backtesting
and making out some realization because on what are the things that you have acquired here would definitely be not the same when you are already on the actual field.

Emotional factor isnt something that you could be able to learn or get with demo trades. Yes, you might be good when it comes to TA but time will come that you would be able to
realize that emotion handling and discipline would really be also crucial but you cant really be able to make learn of these things via on demo trades.

I am not an experienced trader but it is common sense that demo account is for those who are new to trading and have no experience. And as a beginner, 3 months is enough for you to learn the basics and practice the usage of your platform. After then you should move to a small account with fund it with as low as $300. There are things you will learn from that you will not learn from demo. Beginners may not take demo seriously because losing money there doesn't mean they lost any actual funds. With a demo account the brokers let you easily win without any risk just to let new traders think everyone can make big amounts of profit. You start paying real attention from using a small live account.

I think every new trader or newbie should have a demo account. If a beginner was not shown and explained what a demo account is, then the one who taught him how to trade is a bad mentor. After all, at the beginning it is so important that a beginner at least understands the exchange interface, so as not to waste his hard-earned money.

A demo account or demo trading is ideal for newbies and pros. For the newbies, once they get a trading strategy and not quite confident to make a trade they can test repeatedly using the demo account if the position, execution, risk, etc. so once they try the actual trading is they know what will happen with the opportunity comes, for the pros, there's no limitation once you learn trading doesn't mean you cannot try another way of testing their newly knowledge or discovered strategy again, trading is continuous learning for lessen the risk and higher the profit management so don't limit yourself with just a piece of knowledge.

A demo account is a pointless waste of time, both for a beginner and an experienced trader. For a beginner, this is not necessary because he will not learn anything new there, because without real money, a trader will act differently than he would make decisions with real money. The same applies to testing a new strategy, you will not be able to receive reliable money if you trade without the risk of losing funds, this will not be a complete analysis and, accordingly, you will not be able to understand how well the new strategy works.

The usefulness of a demo account is limitless and what you use it for might not be what others are using it for. For the new traders, it is a very good means of learning the market risk-free and will still afford them to know all the necessary things that will make them successful in it. For the experienced traders, they might need the demo account to continue to upgrade what they know in the market and even learn extras when they deem it fit that using the real account could cost them a lot.

Till now, I continue to use a demo account despite having many years of trading experience and I have never seen a reason why I will not continue to use it. Because as I earlier said, the usefulness is limitless, and it's until a need demands for it that you know this importance at times.

I knew you would say this, but to me, it's not a disadvantage of a demo account, but rather an issue with the people who use it. Even though you called it a disadvantage, there are still many people who are serious about it, so we should not down-talk it simply because people do not use it as they ought to.

So, it's left to anybody to learn and train all that is needed about trading effectively or beating around the bush. Either way, they will reap the result in live trading either good or bad. The choice is ours, the demo account will do all it is supposed to do.

I have not used the demo account myself, but I have a lot of faith in this account. So whoever wants can definitely use Demo account.

You can use demo account to test your new strategy which will work well for your experiment. Since the demo account contains fake money, the profit loss here will not change your final status. So you can experiment with your strategy here as much as you want. And if your new strategy works well then you can apply it in real trading and make real profit. This is a good plan so I appreciate your such thinking. carry on mate

When testing a new strategy traders cannot really afford to use real money, they must use a demo account or simply paper trade their strategy, and only once they have determined that the strategy is any good then they can use their limited capital to trade the markets with it, now I can understand why some good traders may believe themselves to be above demo accounts, but since testing a new strategy could make them lose a lot of money, I do not think they have any option at all.

I don't know for sure whether experts still need a demo account, maybe to learn new features on the exchange but not to learn about trading or the market because of course it's like a waste of time for those who are experts even though their trades don't always produce results but if you say expert it means he already understand how to analyze the market and so on, which is different from a newbie who may really need to learn about trading, but sometimes trading directly on the main account will be better even with very small funds because from there you can also learn to control your emotions apart from learning to analyze.
Professionals certainly won't need a demo account anymore because it will waste their time, unless there are new features that they have to try and see how they work.
This is like a trial error so you know what the advantages and disadvantages are. Some beginners really need it and some don't need it at all. this depends on their courage. If you face a real market it will help build trading psychology so that you will be better prepared to trade larger amounts.
We can always decide to use demo trading because it is one of the ways we can become a better and sharp traders.
We don't need to enter the market immediately after we had lesent how to trade and make profits from the market. The best way to master trading is with the use of demo account. It lose like real account but we don't have to be too relax as a trader that is in the market. We need to demo trade like we are using really funds and this is the only way we can make profits from the market.

as we put it, everyone is free to own their demo account, whatever it may give him as an advantage in the actual trading market. but your expectations should not be the same as the market performance is very different when it comes to real trading world.
you can always practice your new strategy in your demo account but the actual, you would have various factors to consider as you don't know what their developers are planning for their project.

Anyone is free to own a demo account, regardless if you are a pro or a novice trader. If you really want to test all your skills and strategies if they really are reliable before you decide to go on live trading, then it's actually your own choice where you are comfortable doing. But as for me, I feel there is more challenge in trading if I trade without having to test it all from using a demo trading account.

Using demo account does not guarantee mastery in trading, but trading directly in the live market makes me more knowledgeable and skillful despite of the losses that I will encounter, because exposing yourself to trading mistakes and losses makes you become more motivated to improve your performance as a trader, and makes you more inclined to be an effective and profitable trader in the making.

Anyone can own a demo account whether a new trader or an experienced trader. A demo account is very important to a new trader instead  of trading with real money ,one can learn how to trade and protect his own money before using the real account .An experienced trader can also use it to try new trading strategies before using it own real account . In general a demo account is important for both a newbie and and experienced Trader.

Well, on this bro I've already commented no doubt, Experienced traders can also have a demo account to test their new strategies. TBH if he's an experienced trader he should better execute his trade in the main account to check out the performance as well as to maximize his profits.

There are mixed types of comments by different users but for experienced traders time matters as for real they can execute their trades in real to even test with proper execution trading skills.

I don't think experts will use demo account to trade again because it will be like a waste of time them when they have known what to do. Demo account is mainly meant for beginners and not for people that have already known what to do. But if the experts decided to use demo account then he can use it to test the trade but as for there is no need for the them to use demo.

If you have not used the real account before, I will advise don't use it but instead use the demo. Demo account is for practice account and not for making real money. So what you practice from the demo account is different from the real account.

Expert traders always do demo account before they use it in a live trade. Backtesting is not enough to guarantee that your strategy will work because live trading is different from backtesting. There is an emotion involved in live trading that can affect your trading execution, which is not true to backtesting.

I don't anymore.

But it's open to everybody and I think it's easier to play around with such risks on these demo accounts because no real money is involved.

You'll get to see the difference of how risk takers we are but in real life when real money is involved, we change. That's the reality of it in trading but some strategies can be tested there.

And if you are bored and you want another level of game, just go to your demo account and play it all with the market.

Everyone can have a demo account. However, the use is definitely different. Especially for beginners, it will definitely be very helpful, but unfortunately not all nwbies can use it.

Meanwhile, for professionals, I don't think they need it even for trial and error of their new strategies. but I don't know, I'm not a pro trader.

Demo account is not necessary anymore, you can just have you chart analysis, save the data or do the screenshot and you can just wait for the result of it and know if your new strategy can work in favor to you. Experienced trade move faster than we think and having a demo account is just a waste of time for me especially if you are not newbie anymore so for me, I don’t need a demo account just to try new strategy.

There's nothing wrong with trying a demo account to enhance the trading experience and trading strategies, but this is what newbies try, if an experienced trader is also trying out his new strategies and risk management on the demo account it really questions what kind of seniority he possesses.

TBH, an experienced trader is well aware fo all the risks nd his devised strategy of 80% performs well, so he should try out things in the real market, where he should acknowledge what things should be taken into count while playing with new strategies. The newbies should practice things as much as they can on the Demo account.
In demo trading, there is no real money involved, so I don't see it as a problem if an experienced trader will use it to practice his new found strategies. I know they can earn more money now with their experience, but what if they value even each of their pennies? They don't want to lose them when practicing in the real mode. I don't wonder anymore on why they are successful in building and growing their wealth.

Even if we are not a crypto trader, a trait like that is still needed, so that we won't struggle financially, or if we are also dreaming of becoming a wealthy person like them, then we should be able to start by there. On the basics.
For back testing purposes then it would really be that relevant or something that would be useful and its true that not only newbies could really make use of demo but also with those veteran or old traders too.

Demo trades are really that good on trying out to familiarize specially when it comes to terminologies and on how indicators being used bust just like on what most people been saying that
you could really be able to enhance your trading skills via technical but one thing you would really be lacking on which it is really something that you cant really be able to know
about emotional handling because dealing up with demo wont really be giving out that kind of thrill.

This is why if you have been able to practice on demo trades and if you do find out that you are learning sufficiently then it would be always best
that you should try yourself on live market.

It isn't mandatory to have a demo account. If you feel like you need one, you can use a demo account ffor practice trading. However, the market in the demo account is not very realistic as you don't risk money in trading. One would feel the need to learn when there is really a risk even just a small amount.

To make a trader learn and feel the pressure, they still recommend just a minimum practice in the demo like familiarizing the interface will do good, and then straight away trade with real money.
I would say it is still quite good because you are not risking money. That is not a bad thing, that is a good thing, people who have absolutely no idea how to trade should use demo to see if they know anything at all or not. I understand that it may not be all that great because when you start to trade for real you will not make all that much money, and you will want to not risk that crazily, when in demo you could go all in and not worry about it and that's not going to be true in real trading.

However, if you are losing money in demo, then you will 100% lose in real life, so it is definitely good to at least get your start there. You are right that it is not a must, but it should be at least tested out a bit here and there before you start for real.

Demo account is not only for newbies, even an experienced traders can use it for new strategies that they want to try.  Actually, it's an advantage if you're still using demo account, just shows you're careful and wise to try first if your new strategy can work.

However, if you're already an expert, had many experiences, probably you already learn from those. Therefore, even you're not using a demo account, still, you're able to profit for being good of what you do. Experience is still the best teacher and that's how you can gain ideas on what to do when you trade.
First, we have to know the purpose of using a demo account, considering that most people are shocked when transitioning from a demo account to a real account. but actually this difference only lies in our own psychology, which when we can manage it, a demo account will be able to help us practice trading. What you say is absolutely correct, this can be used to try new strategy systems in trading

That experience is based on how much you trade on the real market, and of course it will not always be profitable,
there will definitely be losses that make us all learn not to get stuck in the same losses.

Demo accounts are for users who are completely new to trading, do not yet understand how trading works.
And to switch from a demo account to a real account, using that type of Spot trading would be better.
Sometimes ordinary people use trading futures because it looks easier, but in reality it will be more difficult and more detrimental.

Wouldn't expert traders have their own methods and whatnot that they can use to test whatever strategy they're planning to use? Demo accounts are in the end mostly suitable for new people in the scene, to familiarize them with what trading is in the first place as well as the site's usage of functionalities and what not (basically what button X does etc.). Not that I can confirm they have something they use, not a part of them but I reckon they should have a variety of tools they can use to simulate and whatnot.

It is true that strategies can be tested through a demo account otherwise, there is no point in using a demo account if someone is an expert in trading. Taking losses, and making mistakes is part of the trading journey and a trader should risk his assets to trade because this will motivate him to do more work on his trading strategies. You can not learn from other people's experiences when you don't know you will face the same challenges that person is facing. If you want to test your strategies, then you can back-test with historical charts to see how your strategy would have worked in those market scenarios.

Let's be honest - I don't want to sound arrogant, but I don't use demo accounts. Learning to trade can of course be done with direct practice and several other ways - but of course each of us can do it in different ways. Some users who use demos to test their trading strategies are no more successful than those who take risks with live trading.

From the first day I got to know bitcoin until now - I don't like trading and taking advantage of short-term volatility. I tend to like to buy and hold - that's the plan I've always stuck to until now. It's fine if they want to use a demo account to just understand the market and its various features - but when it comes to live trading, then I think they have a much harder time making decisions due to the fear of losing.

I want to think that there are three types of traders, beginner, intermediate and expert. An expert trader using a demo account is a huge eeg flag for me especially if I want to learn from the person.

There should be other ways to try out new strategies as an expert trader at that level. There should be tools that expert traders can use to test their strategies other than using a demo environment. Besides losing money is part of the learning curve. If you are afraid to lose money you are not ready for the reality of trading.

I am not a experienced trader but I know a guy who is, and I rarely see him using demo accounts I don't know the main reason but I am into crypto for long enough that I can guess the reason, that would be when a newbie is started trading, he worries about the money and afraid that he might play by the market as by market sentiments. So, to control that first and to set a risk free or less risky trading strategies, he tries demo accounts.
But when real game starts sentiments changes and mind don't think straight, but if we talk about a experienced traders who don't afraid of market anymore because experienced traders had mastered the skill of managing the risk and they are real GOATS now and they can control there emotions and cannot be played by the market' sentiments.
But its not that they can never be, Its just the ratio of newbies is more than experienced one. That might be the only reason that experiences one don't care to try strategies on demo account they dare to test that on the live field in action.

I chose not to own a demo account because I still think that even if you have a demo account but your skills and strategies are not sufficient enough, you will never be a successful trader. So I'll just focus more on honing my skills and best working strategies through trading most often, that way I will gain more confidence to trade. Having a demo account is never a guarantee that you will never lose again with trading, as there will always be trading losses and mistakes no matter how proficient you are as a trader.

However, owning a demo account is always a choice, regardless of your position in the market. The essential thing here is you got to learn from your demo account in preparation for your live trading account, otherwise, demo trading account will end up  useless.

I don't have the experience of using a demo trading account but I've seen a lot of mixed opinions about it, some people seem to like it as they've said it's a useful tool for newbies to try and experience trading without the worry of losing real money and those that say that demo trading account is a waste of time because what could've been a win in the demo could've been a win in the real trading and some of those people believe that you got to experience the real deal to be able to really do it. For me, if you're a newbie in trading I feel like it's going to do you good if you do this to at the least make a feel for the environment of trading and you're risking nothing practicing in there for awhile.

I really believe that trading beginners really need a demo account to learn how to trade on the exchange, to understand how strategy is and also how to analyze it. However, newbies also have to understand that a demo account is a dmeo account where the nominal funds in the demo account are only fake, not our real money. Due to several conversations in the telegram group, I have read about missing information regarding funds in the demo account. This is a little funny to read.

However, for pro traders or experts? I'm not sure that they still need a demo account. Even though they have a demo account feature in trading, maybe they no longer use it. If the aim is to test strategies, they are pro traders and I'm sure they prefer to use small amounts to test strategies from their latest indicator analysis. This will be more real, not only the fighting but also the emotional and mental stress. However, whether this happens to all pro traders or not, because I personally am not a pro trader either.

Everyone who is still just learning to trade should use a demo trading account. This is so that it can help them understand the trading process and what they need to learn. Using a demo account can provide trading and learning experiences while practicing what they have learned.

Unfortunately, many beginners in trading do not want to use a demo account and prefer to use a real trading account directly. They feel no tension when watching the market move and also cannot feel the real profits if they use a demo account. Actually, it's up to them because we can only give suggestions and the rest is their decision.

Actually, there are many benefits to using a demo account. We can try many things when learning to trade. And if we lose, we won't experience a real loss either. In fact, it can help us to understand where the mistakes are so that we can learn better.

I don't trade much and I don't consider myself a pro as well. But I usually don't trade or make strategies on the Demo account. My thinking of a Demo account is that it does not carry the same value as real accounts do. You don't feel the same emotion when you lose trades in a Demo account. Thus trying out the same strategy on a real account could cause emotional interference. For this reason, even if I have to try out something new which I have no idea about, I try to do it in the real account with less amount. The minimum amount that is required for opening a position. That way, I can feel the real emotion and can control it in the future. It is not out of arrogance, but rather it feels more logical to me that I trade on real account.

Demo account can be used by all traders, both professional and newbie traders can make use of demo account for practicing their trade. If you don't want to risk losing money you can make use of demo account but they have their negative parts too as demo accounts gives you too much confidence and not enough real life experience. There's a difference between been live in the market and trading with fake money. You don't take the same type of risk in both situations.

As a trader you have to choose which one will works very well as some individuals can trade with demo accounts as they'll do with live account but others will approach both situation differently and for traders that do that, they won't have any benefits of using a demo account to trade. You can risk some money to get the same live experience when you're trading for practice. There's nothing better than having to experience trading live and learning from that experience.

Considering the wide variation between demo trading and real time trading, good traders not using a demo account shouldn't be considered as arrogance. Demo trading is simply another world of trading where the role of emotion is not recognised. Why will I take it serious when if I blow $5k, it ends as a virtual money and will not in any way affect me. How about if I mistakenly profit $50k, it will offend me the more because I cannot withdraw.

An expert trader can use less than $5 to test a new strategy before going in big. I still believe that demo account is a thing of the newbies and not for experts.

Do you as an experienced trader that has made profit from the market repeatedly, do you still have a demo account for trying out new strategies?
The answer is Yes. Even now, having had the experience of almost 2 decades in the market, I still have my demo account running. This is despite that I am running at least 3 live trading accounts excluding my exchanges' account, so it doesn't matter, the purpose of opening the demo account is what is important.

A demo account is needed for various purposes. There are traders who are still struggling in the market, they need a demo account, and there are those who are no more struggling but might want to try a new trading strategy or system, they need a demo account. Again, there are some assets that are new to the trader in terms of pricing and lot sizing, and to avoid making costly mistakes with the real account, traders might want to try it first on the demo account to be sure of how its lot sizing is being calculated (I do this a lot).

It's ok to own a demo account as a beginner for practice but it's not a wise thing to do for someone who has become profitable trading their strategies. What's the need for it? We don't expect a professional driver to still be taught driving, do we? The only time I guess professional traders should use demo accounts is when they're testing new strategies. Otherwise, reverting to demo when one's already earning is a complete retrogression. How does one move forward by constantly looking back. Demo trading is looking backward for profitable traders.

I don’t think demo accounts are good for new traders. It seems strange but you will lose less money if you just start trading with real money than demo money.

People on demo got no emotions and can easily turn $1000 into $1M with minimal effort. These people then just assume they are geniuses and borrow a large sim of money and start to trade big. Then they discover it’s not as easy as they assumed and run into huge losses. Hence why it’s better to just trade with small positions like trading Pennies because you will get some emotions and trade for like in real life.
I don't think so; the demo account was created solely for beginners. It is to be used to try strategies and skills; it was created so that beginners can try their skills and see if the knowledge they have is enough and effective; it will also help them to execute their strategies and see whether they will be effective or not; if they try in the live account, then they have practiced some executions in the market; and why would a beginner lose less money from a live account? It is the opposite; trading in a live account could cause their capital to be lost and, at worst, could decrease their confidence in trading. A demo account is very important and helpful for beginners, so don't think that doing a demo account first is a bad idea; in fact, it is a good practice to build up courage, skill, confidence, and knowledge.

Demo account is a tool to test your strategy. Everyone should a solid strategy for trading. You should first backtest  your strategy with historical data. If it holds good on historical backtesting the next step is to test it in real time using a demo account. It tests whether the strategy is as profitable at current time. Anyone trying to test their luck with demo account are misusing it. Inner instincts holds no ground in trading but instincts you get from the overall mindset of traders, news and financial report would count as an strategy.

Demo accounts can be used for trading or investment with DCA strategy. It is useful when you want to test a strategy for your trading or investment but Demo is not like what you experience with actual trading or investment. Because when you use real money, you will be affected by emotion, greed, panic and a lot of psychological things. With Demo accounts, you won't be affected by those things.

i have been experienced in demo trading but when i was newbie trader, but now i think i don't need to trade in demo account,
because now in my every trade is well researched before deposit money in my trading account,
and i also realize that difference between demo and real trading how help it for new traders, so only beginners should own demo account not for expert traders,

Many newbies are used to this demo account, because is very easy for them to control to ensure they achieve something good from their trade, and it has helped many traders to grow higher in a standard way in the community. Once you are now a old traders in the community, you will begin to avoid demo account because you need to tell yourself that you are above that category, and you are no longer a new trader in the community base on some of the professional things you will display for people to know that you are above demo account. Experts traders will not make use of demo account, because they will begin to see themselves as a waste of time in their trading, because there are many ways they can use their professional career to make a good income from their trade without using demo account.

Even the most profitable trader have that stats that he's got losses and losing streaks. Those that want to keep learning from the market and experiences can open anytime they want to with demo accounts. No one's stopping no one when they want to open demo accounts and to learn more about trading.

This is what's good with the platforms that have these features. They're free and helping their customers learn about the market without hesitation through these features of having free demo accounts for one to learn about the movement of the market. It is not common for most crypto exchanges to have this because most of the known ones don't have demo accounts.

I don't think using demo account is the only way from saving you from your losses in trading. As long as you manage to trade an at amount you are comfortable to lose, and you analyze the market well before deciding to trade, as much as you have tested your strategies if they still are working, then that could actually minimize your losses in trading. Using demo account is mostly a beginner's option, but when you become experienced in the market, it's more on practicing trading with caution and consistent exposure in the market through live trading will honed more to be a pro and successful traders.

However, using demo trading or not is up to the trader's decision. But it does not actually guarantee bigger chances to make you a productive and successful trader in the process.

Just like everyone says, a Demo account is not bad to have a even for a pro because they can able to test some strategies but i Will say even if the there’s demo account ones this emotions isn’t there you would think other wise, the real trade is usually having something to lose that will change the narrative of it, so it is not everything that got perfected on demo that could materialize on the real platform

I think most traders do have demo accounts for experiments and to test strategies not just newbie should have this but expert should also have this to test the new strategies they made on updated prices while using demo accounts.

It also saves your investment on live trading when the strategy you made fails.
Usually, the purpose of demo accounts on exchanges is to help their new customers and they allow newbie traders for free to become familiar with the trading tools.

A demo account is an account which is free of loss. In this account, people use virtual money in trading and gain knowledge and experience through it.  This is a fearless account where the new trader can do trading without any fear of loss. This account is only for newbies or beginners but the experienced trader can also use it for developing  new strategies. This will help a new trader to adjust to the crypto world, testing their strategies and making their psychology better.  So in this case I think that a demo account will be important Both for the new and the experienced traders do not get fear of Money loss but to test their strategies that will be better in the actual trading or not.

Definitely you should have a demo trading account. Whether you are expert or newbie, it’s always beneficial to keep a demo account. Newbies can use the demo account to learn trading. On the other hand expert traders can use this to analyse patterns and try out strategies. It gives confidence to the traders, and traders can practice trades here without fearing about funds. Here in demo account the atmosphere makes you feel like you are trading with real conditions. So it’s good to have a trading account.

In speaking about demo accounts then it would be something open for everyone whether you are a noob or a pro but most likely it would really be that relevant when you are just starting with trading.

Familiarization on how indicators works and on how to know about those other terms and other related thing on which it would really be that relevant for you to deal with demo
but there are something which you cant really be able to learn via demo alone which you could really be only be able to learn with live trading on which i do talk about emotional
aspect and psychological approach. You cant really be able to enhance yourself if you are that focusing on demo.

This is why on the time that you do make out some familiarization on what those terms and indicators then test out yourself on live market
using up real funds.

One thing I should noticed in the Demo accounts may be the traders can learn many things in these demo accounts about the trading but when they came to real trading and in the sense they go to some exchange may be that would be Binance or any other Exchange then there would be some difficult situation for the person who was first trading at demo account. Because in the demo account, not a single percent of the sell pressure on the person would be present from the start to the end of his trade where he would learn trading in the demo account.

Although I had show you only one thing, even there are many more like this, I was told only about the sell pressure yet. But he could suffer from more and then there will be different areas he should have to pass then.

I'm pretty sure "expert" traders backtest their strategies — by using their indicators and checking if it would've been a good idea to use said strategy historically; not through the usage of demo accounts.

If anything, there's almost zero reason for an "expert" trader to use a demo account, besides for shits and giggles.

I have not used a demo account before. I prefer to use like $1 to test new strategy and see it in a way that is not demo.

Do you as an experienced trader that has made profit from the market repeatedly, do you still have a demo account for trying out new strategies?
Demo account will let a trader not to be a good trader because the trader will trade without no emotion involved. But it is for beginners. When I was a beginner, I used $0.25 to a open position and it helped. So beginners do not also need demo if they can use small amount of money like $1 to practice.

I’m not a pro trader nor newbie but I never use demo account until now because I’m not a hardcore trader that trading every price movement or in regular basis.

Trader can simply use small amount as test trade using their own account since trading with real money involved has different impact on decision making instead of using fake money.
