The main thing is, I don`t want some cunt Nixon2.0 banning bitcoin and my country following them, So if I claim bitcoin is my "kirpan" I can carry it legally as it is part of my religion. I mean of sikh`s can ride motorcycle with no helmet (while the rest of do) and carry kirpans "swords" onto planes and into schools, I think I should be allowed to hold my bitcoin.

The 2nd thing is, fuck taxes and the man that does fuck all and takes 30% of my work, They are not taking 30% of my bitcoin they can suck my nuts.

It`s is a official bitcoin 2.0 church(or whatever you wanna call it) is now in session, here is the collection plate, please send btc. https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa to our deity, Satoshi Nakamoto.

Now all rise for are morning prayer.

Dear Satoshi, Our Lord and Savior,  We thank you from freeing us from paying taxes to the man that $cams us daily, calling his theft tax to get away with it with no one questioning it. We appreciate the bitcoins you have given us. As a symbol as our respect we will hold our bitcoins and to trade them not for fiat so the other man who is trying to $cam us wins, but we will trade them for goods and services with each other.

In the Genesis block we pray. -A dood

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your blockchain and your bitcoin, they comfort me.

So I know I made this as a meme but I am serious, I don`t want to pay tax on my bitcoin other than the network fee tx, I refuse to fund war machines to kill my own kind, nor do I want anyone to seize my bitcoins. If it is our religious right to carry bitcoin in my nation, they have to accept it here in Canada.

Anyone care to create the "church or whatever you wanna call it of bitcoin" with me?

so many thou shall not and i dont think you are serious about this  Cheesy
just recently we have a very huge investment scheme here in our country that chooses to hide in religion
i guess i dont wanna be part of it nor want bitcoin to be quoted as scam as well,
so i wouldnt support this if you are serious just because you want to escape paying your taxes

I don't really like to call an organization or community as a religion because if you call some groups by the name church they will think it as religion, And I don't really want to get involved with something like this that will be blasphemous to our GOD, Well I just want to call it as an organization, Because if you would call it as a church it will surely pertain to a religion, And a religion is a belief in something that is powerful, the one above all, But certainly if you would make a religion and the foundation is bitcoin I guess you would separate Bitcoin to the state, As commonly call as the separation of the church and state,

But cryptocurrency is pertaining to money and a lot on the government would not simply want that and may think that you are doing a cult or just a scam act and fronting it is your established church, That is why I am against calling it as the Church.

Isn't Church related to Christianity? Church means a building for Christian worship. Are you going to start a new religion first? Or integrate Bitcoin as an offering to the church? I want to make sure I understood correctly. I'm just curious, and I won't be part of that "thing" you are trying to create.

I will just keep this thread in my watchlist in case something entertaining comes up too. Lol.

Based on what I understood, he is trying to create a church but I think church is not the right term for this because of we say church then it would mean you are worshipping bitcoin and probably consider bitcoin or Satoshi Nakamoto as a God. Also, as a citizen in your country you are to pay taxes, it is your responsibility for the government to fund those unfortunate people, build infrastructures and so on, so don’t use bitcoin because of your greed, it is bot what it’s made for.

Good luck on trying to get the congregation to put Bitcoin in the plate as it is passed around. Do they still do that in churches? It's a long time since I attended a mass.

So, you are so greedy that you want to create a fake church, just to avoid paying taxes? You say governments use your tax money to fund wars, but who are paying for the social services for the poor and unemployed people in your country? Who are paying for the building of infrastructure like dams to provide water and also infrastructure to generate electricity for you to be able to use the internet?

A lot of wars are unnecessary, so I agree with that statement, but sometimes wars are inevitable and when negotiations fails and people are killed in your country, then you have to take the war to the aggressor to protect your own citizens. Pay the damn taxes and stop fooling around with fake churches, because the government will change the tax laws, if everyone use that as an excuse to avoid paying taxes.   Angry

I don't think the Church of Scientology were Christians... But Wikipedia appears to agree with you in the formal definition of the name.
So I had the same thought and same idea with the general definition of what Church is, but I know there are a lot of people who could call something a Church. So maybe that's the reason why there are a lot of "Churches of ______"

Isn't Church related to Christianity?

Not necessarily. There is even a church of satan.
As I said above, there is a general definition of Church and it started with Christianity. Now, if people create a religion where they could call the house where they "worship" and call it a church. Maybe the definition could be changed to "where people worship something and a religion".

something tells me your church won't get the tax exempt status you're hoping for. but even if it did, the capital gains its members make would still be subject to personal income tax.

in the USA, if the church realizes bitcoin capital gains with its own money, it's tax exempt. but if the church were to regularly engage in buying/selling bitcoin (as a business, like a localbitcoins trader) then they would be subject to the unrelated business income tax. https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/are-churches-always-exempt.html

The idea of creating a church seems to sound off to me. I mean, I can only associate church with a certain dogma, a system which is highly centralized, with a figure which we can bow down to and even surrender everything to, or a certain set of church rules. In other words, I can associate a church set-up with the limitation of freedom.

It's an interesting workaround, but how would this exactly work? Wouldn't this mean you have to funnel all of the members' earnings through the church to make it tax free? I guess you could say that the members' Bitcoin addresses all officially belong to the Church, but I'm not sure any government will buy that.

I don't think they'll exempt individuals from paying taxes just because their faith demands non-compliance against tax laws either. But hey, it would be amazing to see someone try something like this, if only for spectators' amusement lol.

The idea of creating a church to escape from the taxation is not a new idea and many might be doing the same as anything in the name of religion will succeed  Cheesy , but make sure you understand the implication and the punishment you are going to face if you are caught by the authorities, it wont be that nice, but if you want to rebel against the very existence of taxation, it is your call to do what ever you wish that will give you the peace of mind and fulfillness  Wink.

taxation = theft
using a money supply backed by nothing, trading peoples limited time for a unlimited supply = theft

I don`t believe in theft in my faith, We think it is wrong.
